I want to make sure you guys utilize the 'Targets' feature. It is part of why the 247 database is better than any other in my opinion.
I will be making some changes to the database.
If a player has an offer, then UK is at least 'Interested', if they haven't been offered, they are a 'Scout Look.' Make sense? There are also 'High Choice' and 'Top Choice.'
I removed Kevin Crosby, Moral Stephens and Jalen Tabor from the list. Those were all products of the old coaching staff from what I have heard.
Those are some of the changes that I have made so far. It's still a work in progress.
Thanks, Josh. Good luck keeping up with all the offers.
Thats a long list. Definitely some quality in there. One I missed, Mikel Horton?
He's not in there? Hmm. I'll look into it.
I added Horton in there.
Database looks a lot better and should be easier to understand. I will have to continue to monitor the interests. If you notice any other changes that need made, let me know.
You mean if that I shouldn't assume if they walk, talk, breath, and play football that they aren't a UK target?
Is there some reason that the football roster lists Mark Crawford as a senior DT and Donte Rumph as having graduated?
There might be more errors but the DL is all I looked at.
When will the site switch over from 2013 to 2014 on the front page so you don't have to change the drop down box to 2014 when searching for a 2014 recruit? 2013 is pretty much over with.
Another issue with the 2014 target list is that the state and position breakdown don't correspond with the target list. As an example it shows 50 targets for offensive positions, but zero for defensive positions. At least that what it shows when I look it up on my mobile and go to full site.
Added the Twitter accounts to their profiles. So now, when you click on a profile, you should see their Twitter feed on the right side towards the bottom. Not all of them have a Twitter.
That is awesome.
This is a great feature Josh; thanks for sharing. That said, is there anyway to do the following:
1) Sort by position instead of rating?
2) Sort by "warmth" of interest in our school?
It seems like the IT folks would have built this in on the front end so the user can control how they are viewing the data. It might be worth passing along to see if it is part of the upgrades that are coming in the future.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and it has made all the difference (Frost).
Great work Josh and staff. Keep up the hard work. Love seeing the info.
247Sports player pages light years ahead of what anyone else in the industry is doing. Really a one-stop shop and pretty much anything and everything you could or would ever want to know about a prospect. And you can follow them from high school all the way to the pros.
Kudos for big picture thinking.
