Was poking around the interweb this afternoon and heard a few rumblings that he may have received an offer yesterday when the staff visited Trinity... Any truth to that?
someone that works for rivals said he did not get an offer

I would think that if Kemp does not come, Dawkins would get that ride.
IMO..I think we should be all over DD. Kid can play. Hes fast..elusive..and runs much stronger than your average 5'9 180lb kid. And..if Kemp comes and plays well..dawkins can play CB at a high level..was 2nd team all-state as a sophomore at cb. My lil bro says Dawkins reminds him of a more physical and elusive Brian Westbrook. Pretty good compare imo..I think Dawkins is underrated. Plays hard and has a Nfl pedigree.Uncle Brian was a 9 time pro-bowler at fs for Philly..in 13 seasons..im sure DD has got some db coaching from unc!

If we've got an extra scholly I'd take him because I think it would send a good message especially if we get Kemp and Hatcher. But I don't want to offer him if we miss on those guys because it would look like we take the lowly players to try to get into a school. But if we get our top targets and take him it would send the right message I think.

He's not a "lowly" player go check him out. The kid has talent and if it helps in the long run with the Trinity. Its a win win situation for UK. I understand whats being said about his position I still think if we have room he'd be a great addition.
Lowly compared to the other Studs at Trinity.
Still not true, the kid has the talent to play in the SEC. Just needs a year or so. He would not be a player expected to contribute immediately
Really? How much do you get paid for your opinions on what makes SEC football players? Because the guys that get paid to recruit these kids don't think he's SEC material. Thus NO SEC offers. Not a one.
The guy is a 4 star on scout. Some are scared away by his size but I think he will be a damn good college player. He is also a 5.6 three star on rivals so he has talent.
Bottom line the kid does not play a position of great need right now for us. And we aren't likely to miss on JoJo.
I wasn't trying to hate on the kid. He looks to be a solid player. All I was trying to say is that I'd rather break into Trinity by going after their top dogs which is what we are doing. No more Jalen Battle situations.
