The only thing I laughed at was that post.
Heck, isn't it really a compliment, only in a backhanded way?
I only know of two people that still use "lulz" and they are under 18.
He didnt make it his own. He gave them all the credit. Not defending his condescending attitude but at least be accurate with your criticism.
Dense? Nice personal attack.
Tell me then since you are the apparent authority on journalistic standards - what did he do wrong?
Last I checked there is nothing wrong with passing info along, especially when credit was given...dont tell me you keep things to yourself when you get a bit of inside info.
Which brings me to another point: information on pay sites eventually gets out to the public...how do you propose stopping that? (you can't btw).
Finally, after reading your other posts on this thread, you need to walk away from the ledge and chill a bit. No need to take things so seriously.

Jones took info posted on a premium board and tweeted it out within five minutes. At best it's poor journalistic practice. And then you say he gave credit. My take is that if it doesn't come to pass Jones will point back at it and say Rowland has bad sources at best and is a liar at worst.
Jones is a tool, plain and simple.
Im pretty sure that there is no journalistic rule that says Matt Jones broke accepted practices of journalism. Had he passed the info on as his own, I'd agree with you. Now, there may be moral reasons to avoid what he did...but that's a different issue. And I'll ask again - how long do premium boards have a "monopoly" on info is a question I would like answered. 5 minutes isnt long enough according to you..so what is? 30 minutes? 1 day?
Put anyone else's name with the tweet (as opposed to MJ) and its probably not on anyone's radar.
That said, Im not sticking up for Matt. I personally wouldnt have tweeted what he did - but he did and he's the one who has to deal with that decision. I could care less...Im a member on that site, read the original post, and subsequently saw the tweet. Im not going to ditch my subscription and rely on MJ's twitter account as my main source....and at the end of the day, no one else will cancel their membership either.
Finally - the one thing I do disagree with MJ on - he made it appear as if Jrowland's sources said Kief will flip to UK as a matter of fact. When in fact Jrow's post recounted what UK coaches were saying after Kief picked Bama - that they would flip him. (i.e. - this one isnt over yet). Other than that, I personally dont get caught up in MJ drama that is created on all UK boards...
