Archie Goodwin, on NBA: 'I don't think it's a question. I don't think I'm ready. I don't think any of us should leave.'

John Calipari, on NBA stuff for players: 'We'll have individual meetings and I'll be honest with them.'
It would be rather odd to see a first round NIT loser have, well, *anyone* go early to the NBA.
That's obvious, .. at least he's honest with himself. I think all three should come back.. talk about a helluva team next year.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Goodwin was the only one that looked remotely ready in that game too...
Maybe Randle picks UK tomorrow to cheer me up and these freshman actually return.
I think the most important question is what will Harrow do? I've been super disappointed in him, and it seems as though he's disappointed in himself. There's something going on with him that isn't out in the open, methinks.
Definitely. I would speculate but that's not fair to him.

Poythress said he is not ready for the NBA.. he also added "we will get it right next year"
Harrow said he is not transferring
and WCS said he doesn't know but he doesn't think he is ready for the NBA

Willie let me help you out. When you get pushed around by guys half your size, you ain't ready for the Dwight Howard's and big Cuz's of the Nba!
So, theoretically, if everyone stays....what does that do for our incoming class? Scholarship wise...
"Above anything else, I hate to lose." -- Jackie Robinson
Speaking of Big Cuz, I know some think he's a punk but I love him as a player, even he said he wished he stayed two years. Cal might have helped him grow up a little in year two.
it means Dom wont have a scholly.. neither will Polson.. and we only have room for 1 of Randle Wiggins and Gordon
Willie Cauley-Stein sounded like a guy coming back but also said he'd evaluate things and if his family needs him to go pro he would consider it.
Ryan Harrow said he'd like to come back but will talk to Calipari about his future.
Alex Poythress indicated he is returning to Kentucky because he isn't ready to go and doesn't want to end college like this.
I has a suspicion Harrow won't be back regardless. At best one sticks around, IMO.
Honestly i should be disappointed right now..
but i cant be.. i am way to excited about the Fr. returning and the incoming class.. we will be Scary good next year
probably the only team to go from National Championship.. to Nit.. to pre-season top 5
not to mention the excitement for football season
If all come back, you have Harrow, Wiltjer, Polson, WCS, Poythress, Goodwin, and Hood. That's seven.
Freshman are Harrison, Harrison, Lee, Young, Johnson, and Willis. These six give you 13 schollies.
Polson to walk-on, replaced by Randle/Wiggins.
Hood to graduate, replaced by Hawkins.
There's your team next season if all shakes down.
YEAH, everyone COME BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
That would put major bright spot for this year.
I heard earlier today that every player on the team was heavily considering coming back. Last night, I said differently about Goodwin and that WCS was up in the air. I think this game helped to solidify their decisions. If they go back and look at a replay of this with sound, they will hear over and over the announcers talking about if these guys leave they will end up in the D-League. I think Cal is going to be brutally honest with them and I feel confident in saying that they will all take his advice and return.
On a positive note, whether or not we get Randle (I really hope we still get him!!!!) we are going to be scary good next year. If we get Randle tomorrow, next year is Cal's shot at 40-0. There will be no weaknesses on that team with Randle, and maybe even without him. Get ready.
Not sure why you feel that way. I think at least two come back of the freshman. Just wait until info rolls in about these guys from GMs and scouts. The only guy outside of Noel that a team would take a chance on now would be WCS because of his height and agility. I don't say that to offend any players, but it's blatantly obvious all could use some polish before any team takes a million dollar gamble.
we can only have 12 scholarship players.. So, like i said, no Dom
I just think that it's a weak draft and eventually they'll realize that they may be lottery picks, particularly WCS and Goodwin. I don't think Harrow is back unless he has a serious "come to Jesus" moment with Calipari.
Absolutely. Next year when someone isn't playing the right way they won't play. That will result in most everybody or all of them playing their tails off for forty minutes.
