I had to re check... 0 TO from TO machine of UofL. I like what he does. He moves the ball even before they can pressure. It allows to move the ball up much easier instead of attacking the defender 100% of the time like some of them did.
He shot 6/15 which wasn't very good, but many of those misses were smart shots that pulled defensive at him that allowed WCS and Noel to capitalize. 1/1 from Three, so he didn't over shoot 3. 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Harrow has improved over the past 3 or 4 games and is becoming a reliable PG but I wont mistake him for Wall, but he continues to show that he is listening to Cal and is becomming more and more confident. I just wish that Poythress was improving at the same rate that Harrow is then this team would be on its way.
Hate to admit it but I agree Alex looked lost out there especially on defense. Unacceptable going 10-22 I mean seriously I think I could do that left handed
Yeah I agree, if Archie, Kyle, and Mays would have allowed Harrow to bring the ball up the court, we would have had only 5 turnovers instead of the 15.
Harrow had a great game. happy for him. and believe it or not he will get better
WE ARE UK
I agree. All of Cal's PGs have progressed a great deal over the season. After his early season adversity there has not been anything to suggest that won't happen with Harrow. He's looking like the player most expected him to be from the jump.
Harrow had a great game, but he def had a turnover. I specifically remember him throwing it away once while facing UL's press. Maybe it didn't go down in the records that way, but he did. Nonetheless, he played great and is showing major improvement every game. very happy with his play.
Harrow is giving this team a chance. Just gotta get Poy turned around. Might have to give him the Harrelson treatment. Somethings gotta give with him. So much potential and not even scratching the surface.
I agree, Poythress just doesnt seem to be engaged in the action during the games he has played lately. I just hope Cal can do something to pull that talent out of him during the game b/c he has so much talent and not to use it is a shame.
I think Poythress, and to an extent Goodwin, are over thinking. With Goodwin you can see proof in the difference in his play during the first half of the UL game and the second half. He just played ball in during the run. In the first half he just tried too hard to draw fouls instead of trying to score.
I wish we could focus on Harrow instead of other players. :-(
BTW, at this rate Harrow might end up being our PG at this point in college.
His ability to control the game is without the doubt the best (extremely low TO rate). His defense is second only to Teague. His shooting is similar to Teague level, but better than Wall.
He still needs to get stronger. He needs to shoot a bit better. Also improve that assists by 2-3 per game. WHich is difficult task, but i think it is possible if he can utilize the floater with passing.
