Best of luck to the kid. He just didn't have the make up to lead a program like Kentucky. Too soft and timid. I think a smaller school will be really good for him. Hope he succeeds.
The dominoes are starting to fall.
yeah, but he didn't need to lead.
He was sometiems our BEST player this year. He was sophomore, i wish he stayed for junior and senior. He would have been great off the bench player.
I didn't realize his father had a stroke before the season started. I hope the NCAA grants his waiver.
Well, there went my theory of Harrow leaving the team early in the year as what Calipari was referring to about the team being hijacked...
How did nobody know about Ryan's father? All assumed it was solely a beef with Cal.
Maybe it was a combination of both. At any rate, I wish Ryan luck at Ga St.
Ryan was a good kid who I enjoyed talking to and dealing with. It was clear he's a sensitive type that wanted to please but didn't necessarily handle the pressure particularly well, but he's not a malcontent or a bad kid. This just wasn't the place for him. It happens. I hope he does well at Georgia State, and I think he will.
We fans need to be a little more sensitive when we make comments about the athletes at UK.Too many times we make comments without having a clue what is going on in their lives. As a fan,i hope Ryan gets to transfer and play right away.I'm sure his dad and family members will enjoy watching him and having him close r to home can only be a plus for all concerned."Good luck" Ryan and thanks for your efforts at UK.
Agree, on wishing Ryan nothing but the best! Cal is the best at keeping "in-house stuff", IN-HOUSE. Got to love that about him if you are a player......not so much if a fan or a member of the media.
I've noticed over the years the wild speculation concerning players when in reality things are never what they seem. Probably would be best to take a deep breath....then hit the delete button....before we send that crazing rant about what is goning on. Cal will rarely, if ever, permit us to see what is going on behind the curtain.
I wish Ryan Harrow the best in his future, and good health to his father. I know people were hard on him, but that's a pretty big reason for his sub par play sometimes this season, in my opinion.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
I'm kind of surprised by this. I expected him to be a backup next year and hope that his game improved enough to start as a senior. Oh well, good luck, and hope the family situation improves!
Great point and that's something most fans need to remember and something Cal has said repeatedly. UK isn't for everybody and it just wasn't a good fit for Harrow. I wish him the best at GState and thank him for his contributions to the Cats.
OK, so if he isn't the highjacker, who is and when does he decide to "resign to spend more time with my family"
I thought Cal said, the highjacking was reference to short bench...
Ryan's father's health could easily have been the problem for his rocky start. As we age we learn to deal with the health issues of our parents, but at 18 or 19 we often think of our parents as being invincible. I hope the waiver is granted and only the best for Ryan and his family.
No. The short bench prevented Cal from dealing with the highjacker
