I understand you want both as do I.
According to the link dated yesterday Fant now has offers from Florida and Ohio State in addition to Ole Miss, UK, and Florida State.
Those offers make Fant a high level national recruit not a regional recruit. Maybe big offers soon pop for Timmons.
I hope that they do but until than It is my opinion that Timmons ranking on 247 has yet to be justified or validated by offers where as Fant and Khalid Thomas' 247 rankings seem to be severely lagging their offers.
Not to cast aspersions on any particular kid but recruiting doesn't happen in a vacuum. Kids have personalities and life outside football. If we back off a kid it could be for myriad reasons, good reasons to the staff but I'm betting you may never know why. Just let them do their jobs.
nice post. Good to see some positive vibes.

The articles about Timmons all focus on Arkansas. Is he an arkansas lean?
Hopkins and Canady won't see an offer. They have a preferred spot if they want it, but that's it. UK's recruiting is on a whole different level this year. We will be selective from here on out.
I love Devon Edwards' game and I share a last name with him. Darren Dowdell, same thing, great player, great hands. Just can't see UK taking 2 TE's this year with so much talent at need positions left on the board. I think we see UK take 1 TE this year and 2 TE's next year.
Moody, maybe he is interested in UK, but the mutual interest is not there. Not sure who's decision that was.
Chocolate would like a UK offer, yes, but I doubt he gets it. UK takes Boaz Joseph and Mackensie Alexander and runs. I'll be anxious to see if Blake McClain holds a spot if Boaz and Kwonsie commit. Also, at 5'9, he better be able to run a 4.3. He sure as heck does not have the height to lock down SEC WR's.
Minter, I had not heard that about John and Corey Cooper, thanks for sharing! And I love the optimism!
Johnathon Howard may be more of an option now that Clemson has taken a few WR's lately. They still hold the top spot, IF they want him.
Johnathon Cook - just because a player wants to hear more from a school, does not mean he is "begging" for an offer or would have them as his leader. He's an SEC kid and a great player, but UK is keeping their distance for whatever reason and I am fine with that.
Yancey, and likely Fant, will be Wildcats by the end of the month IMO.
He's been quiet and tough to get a hold of. I'd say it's 50/50. It becomes a whole new ball game if Ohio State offers. I doubt they do at this point though.
It's not the length of your posts, it is how they are formatted.
When you read a lot in such a small space, things begin to mix and jumble. Break it up a bit and you will be golden.
This would be great. I like the momentum building up on both of these guys leading up to their visit, and that they both want to make a decision sooner rather than later.
Still would like an update on Bubba Tandy to know 1. if he/staff plan to re-up the commitment and 2. what position he will play as I have heard both WR and S.
Does Boaz have a timetable on his decision at all yet?
Is UK still actively recruiting Edwards and Dowdell? I haven't heard anything about TE recruiting in a while.
I don't see why the staff wouldn't take McClain, Boaz, and MacKensie if they all wanted to come. Blake could possibly play safety as well.

It becomes a numbers game.
I haven't heard anything about Dowdell or Edwards recently. Kind of odd that Dowdell was so close to a commitment and then he kind of backed off of that and now has no timetable.
After looking at the TE depth chart I think UK really needs to take at least 1 TE in this class. When this class makes it to campus all the TE's except Sheilds will be SR's. If not they are gonna have to depend on a couple of true freshmen TE's to come in ready to play two years from now.
Oh, I agree. I think we need to take a TE.
not saying anything about your enthusiasm, that I share as well and will always look on the bright side of our football team. I want them to succeed, but yeah, just keep them kinda short and sweet. That's really about it
