"Don't think UK freshmen really want him. Poythress coming back makes things crowded." When asked for clarity whether it was current UK frosh or incoming, he said, "Some of the incoming class and I'm reading between the lines so take it for what it's worth."
Meyer has been proven to have a negative uk bias and has also been proven to have no inside recruiting scoop. Poop on the wall...
The only thing I can think of to say about that post is..........,BS.
He was beyond confident randle was going to Kansas.
If you guys haven't figured it out yet, national recruiting people/writers troll uk fans on twitter to generate hits and responses. It's a business decision.

Um what? ^ I don't remember it going down that way at all. Jerry's never seemed like one of those guys to me.
He absolutely is.
He's trolled uk fans for years.
i thought jerry had randle to UK...
He switched at the very end. But for the months and weeks before he had randle to Texas or ku. All along randle was committed to uk.
Anyone who watched, or heard the reports, knows Randle and the others were very actively recruiting Wiggins at the All-Star games...
I don't know the motivation, but this report would go against all the other reported and witnessed evidence of the past two weeks. I think it is bogus.
Never got the anti uk vibe out of Jerry.
Really Wiggins and Randle seemed to like each other and if any freshman coming in that would have a problem would be Arron Harrison or Young. But I highly doubt any of this is true. I mean they know Wiggins is the difference in being an historic team and I believe that's what they want to be. Plus Wiggins and Randle seem to have some great chemistry already.
I've not really felt a UK bias, but I don't know if this is true or not.
I only got to watch the second half of the Jordan Brand game the other night, but I do wonder if Randle's taking over of the game could have had any kind of negative effect? I know that they say those things don't matter to Wiggins, but for whatever reason I couldn't help but feel that Randle may have been making a statement himself, that UK was going to be "his team" next year.
Anyways, it was just a feeling I got on my end that doesn't mean squat. I still feel that Wiggins ends up at UK or UNC. I still don't see him going to FSU.
Not sure if they like each other or not. I'd say no one knows but them. As long as they dont hate each other then Im not sure how much it matters. Assuming they respect each other then I still think if winning a title/branding win out then Wiggins comes to UK. If how much they like each other becomes a huge factor then Wiggins would go play with his best friend at FSU. If you believe what Wiggins says when he keeps mentioning winning a title as a factor, its just hard to see him picking FSU where he knows he probably couldnt win a title. Anyway, they dont all have to be best friends as long as they respect one another and trust each other on the court. If they are friends off the court, then it just makes it better. But respect can be enough to have good chemistry. Comments from last years team would lead you to believe that not everyone was respected at least from an effort perspective and Cal said they didnt trust each other on the court. Wiggins, Randle, and the Harrisons all know one another is really good so I would say at the very least they respect each other.
Funny story about teammates liking each other. Tinker to Ebers to Chance. SS, 2b, and 1b for the Chicago Cubs arount the turn of the century. (back when the Cubs were actually really good). They turned the best double play in baseball, so good even a little peom was written about Tinker to Ebers to Chance. They were great on the field. Off the field, Tinker and Ebers didnt speak to one another for 2 years because of an argument over cab fare.
Meyer is a complete idiot, how do you make that assumption and then say I'm reading between the lines, he should keep his day job and leave sports media to the pros.

Why would any kid want to give up a great chance to win it all in Coll to go to a school with your best friend. Is he worth a NC before you go to the NBA. Very few NBA players have won it all in Coll. In the NBA you have yrs to win it all there.
I love my friends and family a lot but I had the chance to for a free ride at just about every Coll in America to play golf and I left KY to do just that.
The reading between the lines line is usually used when someone's talking out of their ass.
like another poster I think this is a unc UK battle. If his heart and family were truly set on fsu why wait so long. His teammate playing for fsu sounds like one of the classic recruiting games, get the friend and hope he stays in his ear.

I don't think this is Jerry's doing. This was put out by the Wiggins camp to create excitement for the announcement and to throw people off thinking he's a lock for UK. Betcha!
That actually makes sense, and I pray you are correct lol.
I thought you went to centre?
Thats where he earned his doctorate in business admin. Then later went on to acquire several large companies. Thats when he retired from golf. Why grind it out on tour when your a millionaire already?
Poof... He vanished
