I am intrigued by this guy.
71 John Gruenschlaeger (6-11, 339, RFr.)
He is listed as the back up to Miller @ LT. What can you guys tell us about him. Is he a legitimate player that will see some time?

If he's listed #2 on the depth chart he might have a chance at some point. I never though he would play for us but it looks like he's made a good impression. With the Oline class we've got coming in I would expect him to be bumped down but you never know. Very intriguing kid. Not JD or Fish but wanted to chime in.
Unless his footwork has improved 100% then he will not see the field. He wasn't that bad in the running game but his pass blocking was terrible. Just think its an uphill battle being that tall.
Put him on the DLine for FG blocking duties...wasn't it Lonnell DeWalt who was our specialist at that 10 yrs ago?
One of the biggest individuals I've ever encountered on the football field, for sure. I thought he was being used at guard, though, to this point. I can't see him having the footwork needed to play tackle in an SEC game.

Wasn't he like 390 in high school and 360 last year as a redshirt? If he gets down to 310 (plus gets better muscle tone and stamina) could he actually play some at least as a reserve? Pretty scary site!
