I for one was very excited about getting him last year and thought he would turn out to be a great steal that could play several positions.
What happened last night? He missed most the entire 3rd quarter and 1/2 of the 4th. When he came in we moved the ball. The announcers said "migrane like symptoms".
I believe that we may have won had he played the entire game.
Anyone have insight?
He had a migraine that caused "distorted vision". Said it happens from time to time and had to take some medicine and put towel over his head to calm to affects of it.
I have thought Whitlow has looked as good as could be expected all season. When he first started playing, he looked loose, comfortable, and determined, even though he must of felt like a fish out of water. I thought his performance last night was very solid, and even thought his playbook is still limited, he commanded the offense and had success. UK has been criticized by many for trying to run the ball up the middle, however it was one of our best plays last night and Whitlow gets some of the credit for making that work. He looks better and better all the time and is well suited to get his experience through the "school of hard knocks" and succeed. Every game he has played in he is getting faster. He is of the shining stars on a cloudy night.
Im not sure Whitlow can win in the SEC on a consistant basis because his arm just isnt up the speed. I think however he could become on a limited basis a player like R. Cobb became after he stopped being used as a QB. I dont know if he could become as good as Cobb but its worth a try. With Smith and Towles in the fold I believe the QB position is covered for awhile. He played pretty well last night and I was proud of him for doing so well against Ga. but as a long term candidate for the QB slot I just dont have that much confidence that it will work out.
Wasn't there a guy on here that said Jalen Whitlow brought nothing to the table?

He looked pretty good last night. Good decisions. Could we recruit a 6-0 WR's instead of 5-9 ones he'd have had a nice TD pass.
Noone has brought it up...but his path is reminding me a whole lot of Randall Cobbs path as a true freshman...he also produces as a true freshman. Maybe not quite the talent..but it is odd the similarities.
