Looks as though we made his final four. Would be absolutely huge if we got him. Says he will announce Thursday.
Defensive tackle Jay Woods said on Sunday that he will announce his college choice Thursday. The decision
Would b a big get but I have a hard time getting my hopes up on a player from Georgia that has an offer from UGA.
I agree..getting a Georgia kid out of Georgia when they have an offer from UGA is tough. Still can't get the lineman from a few years ago, Gates, out of my head.
Having said that...UGA shows to have 24 commits, two of them being DT's. Any chance they are holding out on someone else? I say that because the optimist in me wants him and Dowdell to come to UK together. I think I recall where they had discussed it a few weeks back.
Still sounds like Georgia or Vandy.
Vandy just flipped a Florida Gator commit this week. They are white hot right now. I think Woods ends up at UGA, though.
They didn't "flip" anyone. Florida pulled his offer because he wouldn't work out for them and all commits have to work out in front of the coaches before they accept their commitment.
Has he had a previous injury? Any reason why he wouldn't work out for them? Ya got me curious.
Hang in there minter, you're get one right soon, I hope.
Doesn't say. Minter is right in that Vandy has been white lot the last few years.
Did Will Muschamp withdraw the scholarship offer to one of the Florida’s recruits? Did the prospect de-commit on his own? Or did Vanderbilt simply recover
UGA just picked up commitment #25 from Paris Bostick. I believe that makes them full, unless they have a grayshirt or a retro guy in there, correct?
After reading the article it sure sounds like Florida pulled his offer.
I was thinking the same, but I did a little digging based on other posts....it does look like they only signed 19 last year. Which means they can sign 6 and "retro" them IF they are early enrollees. So the question would be, of their committs, which ones can enroll by January or are any of them even considering it?
Doesn't sound good for UK, based on them offering more DL prospects this past weekend.

Yeah I tend to agree with you Jamccain. But I sure would love to have Woods.

I'll check with Rusty Mansell and/or Gentry at our Georgia site. I seem to remember 32 being the number they can sign, but I could be off by one. I'll get with them and let you guys know for sure.
Your team. All the time.
Just as a reminder, Woods announcing this afternoon at 4:30.
Georgia, Vandy, UK and Mizzou in the mix.
I thought it was Thursday afternoon Chris?
^would rather everyone forget and be suprised vs getting hopes up.
The only hope i thought was when he and dowdell were tweeting eachother about UK but seems like Dowdells coaches have put the kibosh on that.
You're right. Thought today was Thursday for some reason. Don't mind me. Carry on.

Pharmacy school might help us. I guess we'll see probably gonna be UGA.
More money in pedaling drugs than playing football.
Its definitely one hell of a fallback option.
The thing with Pharmacy school is that there isn't a "pharmacy" undergrad major. So essentially you major in a scinence, then apply and get accepted into pharm school. So he could do his undergrad anywhere and he sure as heck isn't doing pharm grad school while playing football. His head would explode.
