So, whatever became of this? Josh tweeted that we were going to get a recruit that was rated higher than anyone we have already, one week ago. Nothing else became of that. Was he given incorrect information or what? Surely we would've heard something by now if this extremely highly ranked player (Rated higher than Z'Darius at 84) was really heading to Lexington. Any update would be appreciated.
Don't recall saying anything about him being rated higher than Za'Darius...the "incredible" news was a conglomerate of what happened today, last Friday, tomorrow and what is still expected to come.
I am referring to the "going to get commits from some that are rated higher than anyone we have so far.. some that follow me have figured it out already". It was the biggest news of the day a week ago on all the boards.
Higher than anyone we have so far would mean better then a 84, Z'Darius current ranking. Hatcher/Timmons wouldn't meet the criteria that you gave...
Just curious. Waiting to hear what your big news was exactly.
Well it looks like we are getting Hatcher.....Unreal...word leaking everywhere
Welcome aboard btw!! thanks for posting!!
Believe this is the time frame that you are referring to. Didn't say they would be rated higher. Those particular tweets were in regards to a player that Chris hinted to on the Interesting Development thread. That player has still not really been talked about.
As it turns out though, the player would be rated higher than any we've got...it still hasn't been resolved though, so I won't go any more into it.
Don't worry Josh, while demanding is what every fan can be, patience is a virtue so the rest of us will wait for it.
So, for and giggles, let's start placing our bets on who this higher rated player that has not yet been resolved is...
My bet is...
^^^^ This ^^^^ is exciting...

Something tells me the player in question isn't in the 2013 class. Maybe a JC transfer, or even a FBS level transfer. I just can't imagine high school players still undecided this late in the game. Unless, of course, it's somebody who is still working on getting qualified before he can make his decision. The suspense and unlimited possibilities that come from having so few clues is enough to drive a person to drink. This is so much fun. We are finally getting to see how it feels for top level football program as Signing Day approaches. I don't know about anybody else, but I can really get used to this.
surprisingly.. college football recruiting is a completely different animal than college basketball... even at this late point there are still a lot of undecided players.. and even players that are verbally committed flip.. that is why there are more times than not 1 or two NSD surprises.. so it is very possible that it is a 2013 recruit.. however it has been said that it will happen after NSD maybe Toby Johnson or Tevin Johnson.. or it could be a transfer.. possibly the RB from Nebraska from 2010 who was the 5th best RB in the country
Don't forget that signing day isn't the be all end all. We can still get big time player afterwards. Might take some time to get some things sorted out.
I would crap my pants if we got Leon McQuay.
So, after NSD, is the case still too fragile to mention the kid's name?
Yup. Nothing has happened with him.
When can we expect to hear his name linked to UK?
No clue. It's not really one of those things that is linked to a timeline.
WR from South America?
Lucky guess. 6-foot-7, 300 pounds and runs 4.3 40.
