Any truth to the rumor of an upcoming interview for the hc position? Anyone else hearing this? Ive heard from several people but I do not have any legitimate sources...just thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone else is hearing it.
He was a name that was out there at the beginning of the search but haven't heard him mentioned since that time.
Thanks Matt....wasnt trying to start a rumor but I really hope we go after this guy if in fact we do interview him.
I'm not sure if my heart can handle anymore coaching rumors... somebody stop the madness!
During this ONE weekend, we've heard 2 separate done deals (as in search over)... and then, 3 more offers/interviews.

Oh trust me, I have had someone telling me that Petrino will be announced tomorrow also. I am right there with you.
Petrino will be the coach.... Not sure when they announce yet. I'm "guessing" Tuesday or Wednesday. But that is a pure guess on timing. I never wanted josh mcdaniels, but If uk would have gone that route, I would have said ray Horton!!!!!!

Are you guys still going with this stuff? LOL There's a 0% chance that Petrino is the UK coach. Shoot.....I just look at Barnhart's public comments to confirm it. If Petrino is the UK coach, Barnhart will leave. His comments are STEADFASTLY against Petrino, and really could be taken as swipes against him (ie "Character will matter in this search...." etc)
Normally I would agree, but the comments I'm hearing from Mitch lately almost leads me to believe he has some sort of mental disorder... and no grasp on reality. I think the last two seasons has taken it's toll on Mitch... and this whole "fire Joker" and "find a new Coach to make BBN happy" thing, has pushed him over the edge. I don't think he's been his normal self lately... how he's handled this whole thing has been really strange (for someone in his position).
If he can say things like "the next coach should build on the foundation set by Joker" and keep a straight face... then, it may be time for a straight jacket.
So, for him to talk about honesty, integrity and all that other robotic "must say" bs... in no way, leads me to believe it discounts BP as a possibility. He's just stating what we expect from any coach while at UK... not necessarily what happened in the past. Besides, I'm not convinced that HE even believes what he's saying... or remembers from one day to the next.
Will you please stop. At this point its obvious your sources blow.
This coaching search is going nuts. Every day we hear someone has been offered and its a done deal, then we hear something changed in the deal and now we offered another coach; then two other coaches are being interviewed. I think MB is going to have to pick a coach soon before he loses all of the ticket sales because the entire fan base will be in the loony bin.
I do not think some of the names being mentioned are going to change the culture of the football program because we have not heard a name that has an "it" factor that will reignite the fans, boosters, and the recruits. All the names (that we have allegedly offered) don't strike me as the guy who can bring back what Brooks started. I may be wrong and maybe the other coaches out there have turned down the job but only time will tell. I know that any coach in his first year will struggle but if you don't see improvement as the year progresses and then no progress in the next year then this team will flounder just like before.

Now that we know that he is NOT on any SEC vacant HC positions, its sounds like the SEC board is against him coming back to any SEC school.
