ive been looking at other fans sites to see what the world is saying about the Randle decision. Well Kansas fans doesnt seem bitter, nor do other SEC teams. they are all predicting we will win shockingly (championship). However Louisville fans are calling Calapari a cheater and saying how we will have chemistry issues ect, ect. I find it pathetic to a certain degree, as they are more butthurt than KU fans even when they was never in the running for Randle. OK im sorry for my rant but i had to lol :D
Yea, I'd like to pull for the other instate school in the tournament but I just hate their fans to much.
You can cheer for the other instate school... I'm sure Western Ky wouldn't mind.
Screw Louisville, Indiana.
I pull for U of L when they aren't playing Kentucky. That being said, I've never met a more obnoxious group of fans than U of L fans. They spend more time bitching about Kentucky than they do cheering their own team, lol.
Totally agree. Just went on their board and told them so under the randle #1center thread. (Dumba$$e$) They don't even know he a PF.
Very true. Only team in red I can in good conscience pull for.
Well, that pretty much sums 'em up-being from the Louisville area (at least part-time)and being a member of a "family divided", I am acutely aware of the facts stated...although they really have no ready response for 8>2 or "we got ours last year...you got it to do"...IMO, Mich St in the regional final is their worst nightmare...
They better not sleep on Mizzo in the 2nd round. I know they beat them earlier this year but Mizzo was young and missing a couple players, IIRC.
I have Mich St vs Miami for the Championship.
For that matter, be it Temple or NC St, Indiana's facing a serious team the first weekend as well...
I have Kansas vs Ohio St--but Kansas has a couple of very puzzling losses (TCU??)--OSU playing very well right now, advantage: weak regional as well-
I really didn't see where anyone is butthurt about Randle. The thread is mostly about team chemistry and how will Cal be able to keep all these stars happy with only one ball to go around. Most agree that UK's class is the best they've seen but think without any leaders coming back they could underachieve like this year's group that was the #1 recruiting class and preseason #3 in the rankings. I don't think anyone is upset or butthurt, they are mostly just discussing Cals recruiting so many one and done players. Personally I would like to have a couple one and done players per year but not a whole team of them.
Here are a couple examples of posts from the Randle thread.
Meshing those teams will be extremely difficult for Calipari... I don't see the holdovers from this year settling into a bench role very easily. Plus, their undisciplined demeanors will be cancerous to the new guys. Lamb, Jones, & Miller were all reasonably hard workers willing to buy into the team concept. This year's squad? Not hardly...
That number one class worked out great for them this year.
Did they recruit someone to coach them?
They are still freshman. Most freshman are not NBA ready like Davis and Gilchrist were
.... It's not safe! Get on the train or get out the way!
Not particularly talking about 24/7 site but others such as rivals and ect. Meant no disrespect to rational fans just the annoying ones calling Cal a cheater.
Correct, Most freshman aren't NBA ready like Davis and Gilchrist but The Harrisons, Randle and Wiggins(we could still land him) certainly are. Not to mention WCS as a soph most certainly will be. Poy and Goodwin a year older will look much better. Kyle will fit into a role much more fitted to his skill set. And the other frosh won't be asked to do as much and will also be able to step into a defined role because of what I just mentioned above. Not to mention will likely be getting a few of those guys back in 2014 due to such a log jam of talent. Cal is still the best in the business at getting big time talent to mesh. His problem this year was not having anyone to turn to when guys didn't buy in. That won't be the case next year.
So yeah you guys should be as scared as you appear to be.

By the way you better win that title this year. Cause if you don't you ain't getting one for another 30 years.
I also read other teams sites yesterday and most comments I read were saying they were glad we lost in NIT, etc. I was especially taken back by some comments on the Alabama site. Lost a lot of respect for them.

Up vote for that!
My sentiments exactly.
Spot on. He also didn't have a point guard when Teague shocked the staff and left. We may not have been top 5 but we would have been a top 10-15 team with Teague on the roster. That's how much not having a point guard in cal's system hurt us.
Hell hath no fury like a uk basketball team scorned.
Hop I don't think some of these opposing fanbases or even some UK fans realize how good the Harrison twins are. They are dominant and will be the best backcourt in the country easily by tourney time. I think we were gonna be the favorites to win it all before we signed Randle. Teams around the country are losing a lot of talent. Kansas is depleted, Louisville is they lose Dieng and Smith will be depleted and I suspect they will lose those two due to this being a weak draft, Duke lose several top guys. So we're going to have the best team in the country by a large margin even early on but by tourney time we'll be unbeatable. I think its funny that people are doubting Cal due to one bad season out of his last 10 or more.
Yup. People don't realize the only PG that will be able to guard Andrew Harrison from a physical standpoint is named Deron Williams. Fortunately for us he hasn't been in the college game for years!
The HS class last year--this years FR--simply wasn't that good overall. Very few kids that were/are serious 1 and done talent. Outside of Noel and Mohammed I don't think any of them would have made the top 10-15 this year.
The Harrison Twins are dog eat dog leaders who will command respect, are aggressive, and thrive under pressure. We lacked that this year.
Man, the KU board that I was on was in melt down & insulting everything KY including the state, fans, the school & especially Randle
tbone, that's Kansas fans for you. To say they are classless would be too kind. Awful, Awful fanbase.
