LB is supposedly an area of emphasis, and is undoubtedly a position of need. Outside of "Skai Moore may or may not visit", weve havent heard much in a while. Anyone have anything new on our targets? Can we get a few updates with some of these guys, mods? TIA
Just to clarify (before this is misconstrued), I'm not calling anyone out. The staff does a great job. This is just one particular topic I am checking in on.
Missing on a few LB's early on has really hurt... There are always good LB's out there the secret is good scouting, kids like Avery flew under the radar and even though he hasn't played great he's been solid and should only get better...
It seems like the best way to find those diamonds in the rough is to look for those physical big body HS RB's that are 6'-6'2 200-215# with a lean frame that lacks enough burst to play RB at the next level... I Honestly think athleticism and instincts should be the first thing LB coaches look for, size is great but it's hard at UK to land those type of kids it seems. I would much rather sacrifice size over speed, Danny comes to mind.
