I believe a...
is IN order!
So because Bridgewater was named Freshman AA as a QB he is the GOAT and best there is huh...
Let's use that logic to our advantage
Larry Warford was named Soph AA
Taylor Wyndham was named a Freshman AA by a few different sources so he is clearly the best DE that will be on the field when we play UL, heck. IIRC he will be a JR this year tool Scary how good he must be then.
Jordan Aumiller was named an AA at TE too. Clearly he is a beast and will be the best TE on the field right?
I'm sick of people tearing down our program and building up their's. Its pathetic. WE lost to them by 1 touchdown and really should have beaten them. Then they play a wack ass schedule and some UK fans buy it. Its stupid. Joker can't catch a freakin break and Strongs having breaks thrown at him. So dumb.
I'm not even sure what kind of UK fan goes to a Louisville practice to begin with.
yeah, the double standards our own fans have is absurd. I don't have a problem with anyone going to a spring game of our opponents or even our biggest rivals but when they use that to bash our guys needlessly with their opinion and pretend it's fact is infuriating.
The truth hurts sometimes. You can call me a UofL fan all you want, I bet i've been to double the UK events some of you have. The truth is half of you guys live miles away from Lex or even KY and never go to a game. You sit on here and talk crap when things go bad but if someone tells you why it's going to go bad or what our rivals strengths are then all of a sudden they're not a real fan, there pretending to be one... Whatever, everything I said was and is my honest opinion and not only my opinion, there were plenty of people there in blue and white not just me... I also do think our team has potential but i'm not expecting true freshman/R Fre/Soph's to get it done just yet. If Joker and CO could have landed more of his top choices in the 10, 11 and 12 classes at ILB, OT and WR I do think we would be alot different team right now. But 210-215# Freshman LB's like Henderson are not going to come into the SEC or against UofL and make ENOUGH plays in a 3-4 defense. Maybe a 4-3 but not a 3-4 were the NG and ILB's have the toughest jobs... I hope Sweat, Whitlow can help out the WR position but according to some Sweat is still very raw same as Whitlow. If both had 4.3 speed and were top 20- athletes we probably wouldn't get em though, and we have won in the past with lesser ranked kids but the difference is those teams that won 7 or 8 games was they were exp and mature with great skill players, kids that played 2 or 3 years at most the spots we are now very weak at... I'll take a redshirt Jr/SR 2 star player with skill and athleticism over a freshman 3 or 4 star all day long... Most of our teams best talent is still very green.
UofL does have better WR's, DB's, O-line depth, LB's, a better RB, and punter at this point. I've said 10 times we can improve just as it seems they have, but the chance of us making up that much ground isn't likely especially when some are counting on true freshman and guys fresh off the operating table... We lost our two best LB's and when you can't get good WILB play in a 3-4 or any defense you are in trouble. I think we have found a good SAM LB in Miles once he gets more reps but Malcom, Rancifer (will be a good one once he matures) or a Freshman aren't going to be able to play ILB in the SEC unless they change alot between now and the season.
As far as the AA thing we all know Taylor and Jordan won those awards because they showed promise... If Taylor could have stuck in the 43 defense he would have been fine, Jordan seemed to be on the right path but even when he was in HS I never saw him as a SEC TE. I always thought his best bet was as a Sam LB in a 4-3 or as a role player/Special teamer... Earning Freshman AA is a great honor you guys can spin it however you like, TB is a good Qb, just as Max is but like I said TB will be a better QB this year because he has better weapons and scheme around him plus alittle weaker schedule.
Why is it forbidden for someone to give a honest opinion??? I didn't say their Off was like ours back in 10... UofL did seem to all be on the same page though, their WR's also do have speed, Parker is probably the slowest but has the most ball skills and runs the best routes. I do like the up tempo we displayed, both Off's seemed very much alike except UofL has a 225# RB with speed and 2 or 3 WR's that can make plays in traffic. Parker and Radcliff are both solid WR's. I never said they were 1st team AA's but I do think UofL's off could move the ball against some decent SEC teams like Vandy, GA, OM, MISS St, Mizz. I will always give credit when it's due, these are 18-22 year olds... I do think Max is coming along, to bad he doesn't have more help. UK will be in trouble if we can't find some difference makers and depth at WR, RB, ILB, OT and CB... Oh yea, I didn't start posting and using a redneck tone, I was just telling what I saw. I'm not on here to argue, nor make buddies i'm on here to get or give information so ignore me if you don't like it that i'm not always going to say what you want to hear and agree with everything like some do. I want Joker his staff and these kids to win, but i'm also going to be realistic until I see improvement.

Many of the guys or "blasters" as you called them are most certainly at games, home and away...I've tailfgated with many of them. I've stormed the field with them. Several of us have been apart of this site since its inception and are a tight knit group (see Cobby's Sig pic) and are also season ticket holders, alums, financial supporters, and some are just the very best fans they can be regardless of their address. I moved to OKC a week ago but you can bet your ass ill still be at CWS screaming my as off and tailgating my as off with my big blue brethren. So...nice try.
As for your post, I love how you are quick to call our team a "hot steaming pile of BS" (your words) yet try to call ass on others and challenge their allegiance to BBN...hilarious. You also seem to forget how last years team was riddled with injuries. How many RBs were injured? Our Oline was banged up from the start and never really got 100% as a unit. D. Collins never made the field last year, and I truly believe he would have made a very solid impact on the offense last year. We were extremely EXTREMELY young on D outside of Danny and Winston as far as or depth was concerned, and most importantly, Newton was a major disappointment and Maxwell never really got 1st team snaps he needed to be an effective starter.
Now those are some facts for your ass.
Btw, we beat UT simply because the were banged up??? Tell me you didnt just say that...did you REALLY just say that??? Bray was injured but tried to play anyway....BOO F'N HOO! Did you even see the game?
Maybe you forgot who played QB for us in that game.
Right now the program is in a very very pivotal place. This team is squarely at a major cross roads. We win 6 or more games (which I believe we will) and Joker will receive more time (as he should) to continue the improved recruiting and moving forward. However, we lose 5 or more and he's probably out which could set us back even further with a possible drop in recruiting, and possible transfers. This season is and will be HUGE going forward for our program. OUR Wildcats need a positive, supportive, and united fanbase now more than ever. So, my message to any and all fair weather fans is either get on board or GTFO because quite frankly we don't need or want fans like that.
Now, if the shoe fits, them wear that sum bitch and shut the hell up, but if it doesn't, and you ARE the fan your saying you ARE then get on board, stop mancrushin UofLol so damn hard and lets support or boys and be positive for as absolutely long as we possibly can!
I'm cutting just this portion here to illustrate our point and the actual FACTS.
you claimed earlier that it was a FACT that TB was the best So QB and that's just not so as we have shown by pointing out the flaws of using being named a fr AA as such.
You stated it was a FACT that their players are better.... But right here in what I quoted is what we are pointing out. NONE of what you stated was a fact, rather it was your OPINION. I can respect your opinion so long as you don't pretend it's fact when you know that's just not true.
Jeez. I just started this thread because I thought the statement I heard on the radio was ridiculous and wondered if it was true. It's all good, people. Go Cats!
And yet NC State>Louisville. I guess U of L isn't one of the 3-4 teams you are talking about!
I LOVE the ridiculous over-hyping of U of L Football. Playing them on the first weekend could allow for some crazy things to happen. I think UK has some great young talent, and a QB that looked much improved in the Spring Game. If you are a UK fan, don't count us out just yet.
Jeff, now way was the Big East somehow better than the ACC. Not one team in the big east that I would take last year in a game against VaTech, FSU or Clemson. Were those teams very good? Not really but they would have beaten any Big East team last year.
somehow I think West Virginia could do OK against Clemson. Crazy, I know.
If only there was a way to determine that theory....such as head-to-head competition....
Bridgewater is a very good soph QB, especially for the spread. Intereringly enough he is the exact type of QB that has given UK fits but that our defense has been designed to stop. I don't know how far our defense has developed but I do think it will be one of the fastest defenses we have had at UK. Should be a good matchup to watch. Smith is a good looking SO QB in his own right but without the HS development. But when Randy Sanders tells you that Max Smith has as much "arm talent" as he has seen then you better take notice. I don't think there is much of a sample size to tell you much about either one frankly. But the best QB on either sidelines might just be a kid named Towles IMHO.
Yea, I fear his legs moreso than his arms given our history. As you said though, our current defense is tailor made to stop the spread, so hopefully we can make some progress in that area. Spring game wasn't encouraging in that area.
Pretty fair assessment
Lots of young guys on the field. Lets just hope they improve a ton this summer and before games start. I think its possible. Coaches gotta really get after em and guys have got to be focused. We really need to be able to get pressure. We get pressure and get takeaways we could surprise some people.
Yeah WVU did blow Clemson away in that bowl game but Clemson fell apart late with a young team. Still can't see the Big East as a whole being better than the ACC. Maybe they were but knowing the history of schools like FSU, Miami and Va Tech under Beamer I have a hard time believing the Big East is a better conference.
Plus he seems pretty accurate when he moves so that is always a concern. Ky is going to need to score points and control the ball which I feel better about this year than last.
I'm not sure it really matters. There is the SEC then a HUGE drop off where the rest of the CFB world resides.
I think there are reasons to be optimistic and concerned with either camp. The significant difference, as in night and freaking day, between the BE and the SEC make comparisons between the two almost impossible. This may actually be one of the times playing the first game of the year helps UK. Neither team has a huge talent advantage or experience but the pressure/expectation to win will be on UL. Sure the media will say its on Joker and he needs to win to save his job but no job is really won or lost in game 1. Mistakes will happen in game one and UK might be able to exploit some of ULs youth. I worry about Smith and the OL against the UL blitz packages but at the same time UL really has no way of knowing what they will see from UKs offense. Strong hasnt schemed for a UK team with Smiths arm strength or accuracy since being at UL so it will be a new dimension for them. If Max can get the ball out quickly and the TEs and Slot WRs have a big games we will do some damage. Minimize turn overs and it anyones game.
Btw Todd the POS comment is way out of line. Joker has made mistakes by his own confession but it isn't like he took over an SEC Juggernaut. UK had issues with staff, talent and the ever present facilities. Not all the issues/challenges where brought on by Joker nor will they automatically vanish if he is fired at the end of the season. it's May so it's time for optimism and consideration of what might happen favorably same as what might go wrong.
Yea the POS comment was out of line. I've also said 50 times I'm not a UofL fan, just because I think they had a better spring game and look better at WR, LB, CB and QB doesn't mean I don't think we can beat em, or that we can't improve. I never said it was not possible for us to beat UofL, it will be tough though until we find some playmakers and a few more LB's that can play, Avery can't be the only ILB that does his job and is physically capable. We need someone to step up in a hurry at ILB, if Brause or Jabari can do it I say move em from MIke to Will. I would rather be able to stop the run and have to use more Nickel and speed packages than see teams break long run after long run like in years past. With a much improved D-line our LB's really shouldn't have half as tough of a job as they have had in the past. I really think Rumph and Cobble are going to be one of the best group of DT's in the SEC, atleast they should since Rumph is finally getting the strength and conditioning and since Cobble has had a year to fully recover from his shoulder surgery...
I still stand behind what I said though, UofL looked like a much more talented team on offense, hopefully we can improve at WR... If Whitlow could come in and be a solid playmaker that would be sweet. He has the size and athleticism, Sweat could too but i'm not sure either can learn our package that soon.

Well I've said before a couple factors UK fans can point at to have some hope in this game:
1)Strong's teams have not peformed well early in the season, they get better as the year goes on
2)Strong's teams do not play well at home. At all.
