Some decent tidbits and insight from the CBS national site.
@GatorsAllTheWay – Who do you think leads for Chris Walker and where do you think he lands? Florida, Kansas, Kentucky?
Chris Walker isn't the type of player who is listening to 15-20 schools and has no clue when he wants to narrow down his list. He has a list of a few schools, and is going through the process. As of now, it looks like Kentucky is the favorite. However, the Wildcats have yet to offer the top-10 prospect. If they never offer Walker, Florida could be next on the list. Walker goes to high school in Florida, and has a good relationship with head coach Billy Donovan. He has taken an unofficial visit to Kansas, and Baylor, Ohio State and Syracuse are also involved.
The class of 2012 is just about to wind down, while the class of 2013 is heating up. Moreover, people are already looking ahead to the top freshman for next season. Villanova and Washington need important recruiting classes in 2013; where do they stand?

Posted this in another thread before but I think UK makes a pass at Walker. He's too talented not to.
I think they want to see him more this summer and see if he actually competes all the time. Walker's been the anti-MKG at times in the past.
Seems like he has stepped up his game since last summer when he was "hungry" or what ever, lol . .
He totally missed the point of the question about the game at cowboys stadium. That game will be played when the Harrison twins play for uk thus a game in their home state.
do you actually think we lead for walker?
If UK offers, they immediately become a major, major player.
Like why would any kid not want to atleast look at UK. And have them in the top 2 or 3 ??????
I definately agree. Walker would love to play for Cal, moreso than for UK, but, that's okay, there's alot of kids that way. The UK brand doesn't hurt, though. It doesn't take a genious to see how Cal develops his young players and does so very quickly and Mr. Walker is smart enough to realize that and he also sees the "Kentucky Effect" on the recent drafts. If this kid will show that he can go hard every play and show some defensive tenacity, Cal's offer will soon follow. Hope he's patient enoug to wait for it or works hard enough to earn it.
Anytime a kid continues to list a school that hasn't offered alongside schools that have, it's pretty telling IMO. Especially when he continues to put them at or near the top.
Still think UK will probably wait to get to get a better read on Julius Randle even though I think those two could play together.
Harrison twins, Randle and Walker would be very nice.
That would be quite a group, but I'm not sure if Randle and Walker could co-exist. I think UK has put a lot more emphasis on Randle. He seems to be their guy at that particular spot.
