If reading your posts accomplishes nothing else, at least they are funny and entertaining.
I like this stoops guy, but I have decided to stop being skeptical and believe what I have heard from the most reliable people I could access in this search. If they are wrong, or talking out of turn, then so be it. Either way, I have not heard any specific timeline, and think stoops is a good coach
I appreciate that, it's nice to at least have someone be cordial when they don't see eye to eye lol. I want to clarify, bc I know u r a real fan, I see your posts, and you bleed blue. I may be wrong, it's very possible, things happen. But, I swear to you, I am not making a stitch of this up, I am telling u exactly what I know. I want uk football to be great, I'm a season ticket holder! I may not be a great poster all the time, but I'm not lying about any if this.... That's all, Go Cats
I believe you, shepp.
This is the same guy, who heard that no matter what happened Joker Phillips would be the coach in 2013. how's that working out?
You are the last person on the boards I would listen to

I do not have any inside information, but, here is what I see . Barnhart wants to succeed and have uK football stop being a drag on an otherwise successful athletic program. The key to success is recruiting good talent. Firing a coach and staff in mid-recruiting season is never a good thing but he had no choice.Hiring a coach who can put together a staff to sinish recruiting is essential but and it is the key but the truly good coaches are currently employed and if they are truly quality will not quit while the season is still going. The fact that we have not announced a hire tells me that the next coach is currently employed and is part of a winning program that is still in the hunt for post season bowls. That eliminates coaches that are not currently employed. If he was going to hire Pretino it would have come yesterday after the season ended so recruiiting could begin for a new staff ..
The problem this presents to Barnhart is that while he can wait for the coach to finish the regular season he can not wait to the bowl season to end as it would kill recruiting. Thus, what he has to do is out a deadline in place after the end of the regular season in time for the new coach to resign and begin building his staff.I believe our new coach will surface next week after the regular season ends and will be a head coach such as Jones or a top coordinator such as Stoops, Kingsbury, etc. Just my view.
That was a joke, if you look at my posts back then, I was clearly being sarcastic fyi. I was kidding about a fake reporter named Jake Trenton, nobody took that serious unless they were super gullible, lol. We all know the media names that follow UK football closely, I assumed since most of those threads were filled with BS, that everyone got it. It was like the Bluesuave thing back in the day, sorry if someone took that serious, lol. Most the responses were aware that it was sarcasm, and it was a nice outlet at the time, given how venomous every poster had become at the time. So yes, I was wrong, but I was kidding. If I have bad info in this scenario, it is legitimately just wrong, but it certainly is not a joke, or a lie. I did not have much info on Joker, although it was obvious his fate after a while, but I will say that the same guy giving me this info said that Joker would be let go in 24 hours, within 10 hours of Mitch releasing the statement. I give that some credit, but it was not exactly a shocker after the Vandy debacle. I am not even sure I want Petrino, as I have said, I just wanted to pass along what I have heard and believe. But, I did want to clear up your comment, bc I do not want to be lumped in with some of the people on here who have agendas at all times, and who make up lies/sources all the time. But, I respect people's opinions either way.
With all due respect, you were serious. You have a polite and professional delivery but your info is mostly wrong. Either you make stuff up or your sources are no good. I suspect it's that your sources are no good.
Where does this money come from? UK is restrained by the BoT to not go into debt. Fundraising has always been an issue at Kentucky.
The culture has to change and that starts way above Mr. Barnhart. Why do you think there's a "yes man" as President? Capulito is a puppet. Dr. Todd was a maverick and amassed way too much power and that didn't sit well with the real power brokers...who honestly don't really give a crap about Athletics as long as the checks clear and it doesn't take away from the University's academic mission. Bonding's never going to happen because Gatton and co. want all the money available to go for academics and they have the political clout to see to it.
Why do you think the IMG deal was pursued? And why do you think it was killed? Without a substantial donor base these are just pipe dreams. Thank God Tubby and Barnhart wooed Mr. Craft (who has given the two largest donations in UK Athletics history) or UK B-ball would still be practicing in Memorial bumping into the Women's Volleyball team.
