Anyone know what kind of team, style of play, etc. to expect on Friday's season opener? I know they have been picking up some steam in future recruiting with Turgeon, but I do not know what kind of team they have this seaon....
Nick Faust is a player. He will give Harrow fits I suspect.
A lot of Twerp fans still buttsore over the Harrison's decision, I suspect.
I think Alex Len will be much better this season and he wasnt that bad his freshman year. He is their bigman that can block shots, but Im not sure how quick he is. Then theres Shaq Cleare, a top highschool recruit who is is big and will eat up space and probably will guard Poythress. Faust like someone mentioned before is a player of note and will give the Cats some trouble on both ends of the floor. Theres no reason why UK cant come away with a good win but the turnovers will have to kept to a low total. Our big guys will have to play tag team basketball on Len but thats our secret weapon this year we have 2 very good bigmen and I see Len getting in some foul trouble maybe early but I dont underestimate his ability on the court.

There's no suspicion there! This is fact. Haha.
Are they going to get up and down the floor, or do they like a half court game? Not sure how anyone would know this for sure lol, just curious
I know a lot of people are worried about this game, but the Cats should win by about 15 points. Yes, I know they're young and every other arguing point somebody will surely make, but the talent in the end will overwhelm Maryland.
Maryland averaged 68pts and 36 rbs per game last year. They wont run the floor like KY and will feel more compforatble in the half court. I think of course KY will win but to me it would be difficult to predict the scoring margin but if I had to I would guess a 8-10 pt. win for the Cats depending on how well they shoot their freethrows and how many turnovers they commit.
Alex Len is good also. wanna see how Noel and Cauley handle him in their first game
WE ARE UK
They have played one exhibition game, and they won by 12 points, 73-61 at a pace of about 67 possessions for the game. These exhibition opponents are somewhat comparable to UK's opponent Northwood. A 12 point win in one of these exhibitions, in my opinion, does not speak well of the Maryland team.
I agree with Nate, it should be about a 15 to 16 point game. Pomeroy has it at 16 points, 77-61. I say 80-64.
I think UK will want to play a slightly faster pace than Maryland will want to go, and the final pace will speak more to the final total points, but have little affect on the margin.
