He decided that he wants to play football and is now looking at Arkansas and wait for it, wait for it...OLE MISS.
He said that football has always been his first love...so why didn't you commit earlier? You had better offers in football...
Seen him play numerous times. He is a good athlete but not great. He is a project at WR. He played against terrible competition and did not blow these teams away with talent.
He is project and we have missed nothing with him.
I respect your opinion, but I've seen this kid play a lot and he's a complete stud IMO. He could be every bit of what devante Parker is but a step faster.
Boz is right...no loss here. McKay is barely D1 talent.
"You can calm down a fool before you can resurrect a corpse", Coach John Thompson on why he'd draft DeMarcus Cousins despite question marks
Now, I am confused. I do not know what to believe. I had always heard that he was a talent.
I've gone back and forth on him, but tend to agree with you here. He's a really nice-looking athlete, but has never played as well as his athletic profile suggests he should. I'm still not completely convinced he loves to play football, which is another concern.
Kind of a risk-reward type player for whoever gets him. Could go either way.

Do either of those schools still have rides available?
Would he grey shirt?
Have to say I think a lot of that is he's never devoted himself completely to football, he's always spent more time on basketball. Now if he takes his chance seriously in college I agree with others that he can really blow up and be a very good football player.
I know McKay impressed a lot of coaches, scouts, etc. at the Nike Combine in Columbus last summer.
Bobby Petrino has extended a full offer and is hosting him this weekend in hopes of a commitment. Ole Miss offered as well, he visted Oxford last weekend. WVU, Clemson, and UNC are apparently trying to get a last minute visit from McKay now that it's known he wants to play football instead of basketball. The dude is a tremendous talent in the eyes of a lot of people.
I saw him in the playoffs last year & he looked bored out of his skull.
For what it's worth, I thought McKay looked like a stud at the Nike Camp at Ohio State. I had a college coach as me if there were any sleeper WRs left out there right before signing day. I mentioned McKay based on that camp performance but then I went back and actually watched his film and I was very underwhelmed.
So he's got a shot IMO but not a sure thing by any means.

Do anyone of you compare him with Aaron Boyd, who passed the look test but failed with the rest?
If his heart isn't into it the talent won't matter. Best of luck to the kid.
Agree. That could happen if he totally buys in. Lots of raw ability.
Biggest problem with Boyd is there were people billing him as a 4.45 guy. I told people the whole time he was lucky to break 4.6, and he's been up around 4.7s during his time at UK. Stil, I thought he'd be able to get on the field and help them in some capacity. He's got a good frame and hands. When we get to watch practice, he always seems to catch the ball consistently.
