Stole this from the main rivals board but interested in the opinions of everyone here.
If you had to pick three busts from this NBA draft choose them. Also as an extension add your one sleeper.
1. Jared Sullinger mainly because he's trying to hype himself as the new Kevin Love
2. Jeff Taylor I love Taylor in college, but felt like a lot of his success was predicated on being more athletic than everyone he played against, not going to happen in the NBA.
3. Meyers Leonard he's tall, white, and has effort issues. Of course that means he's an overrated lottery pick.
Draymond Green if the right contender gets him and he's not expected to be anything more than a rebounder and passer think he's going to have a great career.
What does Meyers Leonard being white have anything to do with him being a bust?
I agree on Sullenger. Talked to some folks who stayed in the tOSU hotel and they said they were around Sullenger a lot. They all said they didn't think he was any taller than 6'6.
Hard for me to look at Jeff Taylor and Meyers Leonard and talk about them busting, when they aren't even in Lottery pick.
I think Drummond or Jones III will more likely to bust then them. I also think Jeremy Lamb will be a bust, i think he is overrated big time.
EDIT: Also, obviously Sullinger.

Honestly there's probably a higher ratio of large white centers busting than any other position in the 1st round. Off the top of my head Joe Alexander, Spencer Hawes, Jason Smith, Cole Aldrich, Luke Babbitt were all top 20 picks that were bigs and white and busts in just the last 4 years. Does his whiteness have anything to do with it other than trends? No not really. You add in effort issues and someone is very likely going to blow a lottery pick.
I'll go ahead and throw one out there as a bust, and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with talent. Royce White. I'm curious to see how he battles his anxiety issues and how it may affect his professional career. Kid is a stud, and I hope he has a great career. Talent is far from an issue.
I'm in the super minority but I think PJ III will have an ok NBA career. Think he can end up having a David Lee like career and put up great numbers for some bad teams (ala the Knicks and Warriors) or even make him a big version of Monta Ellis where his numbers are huge but he loses like crazy. Also there's a chance he's just Brendan Wright and never does anything in teh pros.
My bust are
1 Harrison Barnes he struggles with college defenders at times
2 jarred sulenger he's to short for MBA front lines
Royce white he can't fly
Durius miller 6'8" strong guard who plays good defense is unselfish and has a knack for making big shoots
Meyers is being projected as a lottery pick everywhere. Most have him going ahead of TJ. Jeff Taylor Nbadraft.net has him at 18 right now 3 picks outside the lottery that's still definite bust area. I think any 1st round pick can be a bust if you get nothing or next to nothing out of them.
Meyers Leonard positions by site right now
Draft Express-#15 (one pick outside lottery)
Ford-Projects him as a lottery pick based on who's declaring so far according to his blog
'Everywhere' may be a bit of a stretch on Leonard. I just checked the 12 most recently updated mock drafts and only 2 had him in the lottery. Some didn't even have him in the first round.
Bust's - Austin Rivers, Kendall Marshall, Thomas Robinson, Bradley Beal & all UCONN players
Sleeper's - Darius Miller, Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones & Marquis Teague
Sleepers - Miller. Kid is good enough to be drafted in the late first round. He's the glue guy for a National Champion.
Busts? Can't really decide yet.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Outside of Davis, MKG, Thomas Robinson, and Brad Beal I'm not sold on anybody.
I don't know if I see too many guys I'd put on "Bust Alert," but Perry Jones would probably be on top.
My sleeper would be Festus Ezeli. He's got all the tools to be really good in the NBA. Like his smarts and toughness, too.

My busts- J. Henson, J. Lamb, A. Drummond, and maybe T. Robinson. As much as I love Robinson's motor, I'm not sure he has the size to do what he does against the grown men of the NBA, but I actually like Robinson and will be rooting for him.
My sleepers- D. Miller. (I think he will make at least 1 all star game or at least 1 6th man award in his career)
T. Zeller (I'm not sure where he will be ranked. I don't follow mock drafts before the teams and drafting order is known...useless as a football bat til then, but I do believe he will be the best pro of the Tarheels coming out.
I think this would be a much better topic after we actually see who gets drafted where.
Yeah, Jones is a huge one, IMO. I think you've got it spot on. I think Royce White could be a super steal for a team if he can control his anxiety, but it is a huge risk with all the travelling teams do. I'm going to put him in my "bust" category for now, but if he falls into the second round I would label him a sleeper. If you could take anxiety out of the equation I think he would be a top 10 pick.
Tyler Zeller is gonna be a lotto pick. Not sure if they can be sleepers.
As I said, I'm not sure where he will go in the draft. Again, it is pointless to make assumptions based on a mock draft when we don't know what teams are drafting where.
I know what you said. But its pretty obvious he's gonna go in the top 14 picks. Most of the lottery is already known. Its the order of those teams that haven't been decided.
Possible Busts: Austin Rivers, Jeremy Lamb, Kendall Marshall, Perry Jones III, Andre Drummond (In no way do I question his talent or potential, just his effort), and Jared Sullinger.
Sleepers: Damian Lillard (Watched him play, this kid's potential is amazing, hands down the best PG in this class, dropped 30 points and almost got a triple-double in a LOSS!),
Quincy Miller (If he has the right attitude and matures, this kid could be very good, recovered from torn ACL this year, and will be back strong next year,
Terrence Jones (I have seen Chad Ford say about in a few years of players in this draft that we may look back and wonder why they weren't top 5, If Jones give consistent effort, and has a solid work-ethic, he'll control his destiny and could be pretty good)
Marquis Teague (Marquis is much like his brother Jeff in many ways, and one way sticks out to me, Jeff was a late-bloomer and led Wake to a #1 ranking in that year, Jeff didn't come around until about his Sophmore-Junior year, and if you give Marquis time, you may see the same)

I wonder if Quincy will declare. If so I agree that he could be a big time steal for some team. Probably will go late teens or early 20's. I guess he could be higher but we'll see. Good pick though as a sleeper.
Jeff Teague only played 2 years at Wake.
Yeah, wasn't sure if it was his soph. or junior, so I put Soph-Junior, haha. Either way, definitely a late-bloomer. And I agree on Quincy.
ive been saying darius all yr. so il go with sullinger and barnes as busts. and il take dee bost as my sleeper. i love his game and think he could be a nice combo guard at the next level
Honestly there's probably a higher ratio of large white centers busting than any other position in the 1st round. Off the top of my head
WHAT IS UP WITH THE WHITE THING. I DO NOT GET IT. ????????
PEOPLE I AM SORRY TO SAY MKG WILL BE A HUGE BUST AT #2 IF HE DOES NOT LEARN HOW TO SHOOT. I LOVE HIS MOTOR AND HEART, BUT AT 6'6 OR 6'7 WITH NO JUMP SHOT HE WILL NOT MAKE IT PEOPLE. JONES WILL BE A VERY GOOD PLAYER IN THE NBA, AND A GREAT PLAYER IF HE GETS BETTER WITH THE RIGHT HAND.
Is that your bread and butter opinion or what? If your not sure what to post is that your go to post? Jesus Christ we all know by now thats what you think because you yell it from the rooftops anytime his name is mentioned.
