My source is the Texas Tech Forum from Scout. They are saying that it is a done deal and they are still working on the loose ends. The Texas Tech fan posted that he got that info from people close to Kentucky program and what he has seen from other boards. He also said he is hearing that he maybe bring another coach from TTU to be the RB coach (Chad Scott). mitch barnhart You have done good. HC: Mark Stoops OC: Neal Brown DC: DJ Eliot AHC and recruiting Cord: James Coley Specail Teams: Bradley Dale Peveto. Now thats a coaching staff of SEC success. GO UK!!!
Chad Scott spent his first two playing seasons at UK before transferring to UNC. He was solid back that seemed to always have to deal with ankle injuries. He was a really nice guy when I had class with him. Glad to have him back.

Dont you think the hiring of the new staff will improve uk recruiting tremendously in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Ohio. It would make sense that Brown and Scott would want to come back to Kentucky. Cant wait for the press tma.
If it all comes together this staff is going to be amazing.
Not very familiar with his career path as a coach but Scott was a hell of a running back at both UK and UNC.
chad is the current rb coach for TTU. Chris Fisher do you think all the caoching pieces would be already set in place by tma press conference.
For the most part, yes.
HC: Mark Stoops OC: Neal Brown DC: DJ Eliot AHC and recruiting Cord: James Coley Specail Teams: Bradley Dale Peveto. Now thats a coaching staff
Yes sir if that is indeed our staff, WOW
I'll be the 1st to admit i was all for BP as our next head coach, i was wrong, Mitch done alot better than i ever really dreamed could be done. The whole BP thing with me is a after thought.
Come on Sunday
I for one thought it was BP or bust. but this is way better then i could of ever imagined.
So are we treating a fan post on another forum as the gospel here? While I hope it happens and I'm excited this is far from credible. I only mention this because the thread title makes it sound official.
Talked to a buddy of mine who went to Tech and asked him about the two coaches. He said Chad Scott is the best recruiter on the offensive side of the ball on the staff and that Neal Brown is good but not Mike Leach so Tech fans aren't as high on him as they probably should.
I read through the whole thread and all of the people on the thread were in agreement that they will come to Kentucky.
Im hoping Stoops announces these hires tomm......rdy for the staff to become official!
Scott is supposed to be rock solid in Texas - Stoops, Eliot & Coley in FL/GA. Eliot, Brown & Scott in TX/LA

Possible staff (anyone no a DB possibility?) and their recruiting strengths
HC/DT: Mark Stoops (FL/GA/OH)
Asst. HC/RC/TE: James Coley (FL/GA/AL)
OC/QB: Neal Brown (KY/TX/LA)
OL: Mike Summers (KY/???) (or) Billb Bedenbaugh (N. OH/PA)
WR: Steve Spurrier Jr. (NC/SC/VA)
RB: Chad Scott (TX/LA)
DC/DE: DJ Eliot (FL/GA/TX)
LB: Greg Hudson (FL/S. OH) - Probably stays at FSU
S/ST: Steve Peveto (???)
Its been rumored that Stoops might be the DB coach
UK recruiting in TX & LA sounds good, strange to say but, sounds good! Tons of talent in TX.
There's a few rumblings about Brown being a longshot now...anyone know why?
Danville (23) / Atlanta (16) / Westport, CT (1) / @tbradg
They hire Coley as AHC and recruiting Cord so Brown is already been cemented on staff as OC.
I think there's a very good chance Brown is here, but they're still working out details of a contract from what I've heard. Could be he's looking to see if any HC offers come too.
I may be wrong about this and i probably am but is Brown the highest paid assistane coach in all for college football?
I would not be surprised to see Stoops coach the DBs himself.

Screw BP. If he had came to UK my money would have went to another school.
Any man that cheatson his wife and lies to every ad to there face is no coach on my team.
UMMMMMM wonder how much this is going to cost the school. I will bet a ton of money that you will see a few employees at UK bitch and complain. LOL
