I feel comfortable in cutting Stanford, Kansas, Florida, BYU, Georgetown and Depaul from that list.
Thanks for the link, Jeff.
Pretty interesting Illinois and Washington got cut so early. I had thought they would be with him down to the end. I think it's safe to assume Michigan State is the early leader?

Not too long ago people were saying Washington was the leader. I'll willing to bet money he will be a Cat...
I sure as hell hope your right Nate. I love his game...."that boy good"...Eddie Murphy in Coming to America voice... I've caught a little flack for sayin this but I've never really felt good about Randle or Parker either one. I don't really worry so much about the rumblings of issues between Randle and Harrison, nothing Cal couldn't coach out of them, but i just felt that maybe the fact that he won't get a lot of shots per game with all the ballers Cal brings in is a turn off. (note: in no way am i sayin he's selfish here)
With Parker, i don't really have a reason for thinkin he goes elsewhere...just a gut feeling, but i do believe if we land one of them it would be him. Parker would be so good here. Cal and the DDO would be PERFECT for him. If the Harrisons do indeed commit as many believe the will, and Parker does decide on the Blue n white (the REAL blue n white)....the dynasty could be official as that team would be redonkulous. Straight filthy.
A bit off topic, (kinda) i don't recall ever wanting a player more than Andrew Wiggins. Patty would be a close second. I met him and his parents his JR year in HS and was blown away by him and his folks. As classy as anyone you will ever meet. Patty was the first recruit that i literally checked on every day. I've followed recruiting as long as I've understood what recruiting was, but never like Patty's up to that point.
I still remember the day he committed and how excited i was. Considering the current state of our program, imo, Patty was the most influential commitment since Monster Mash, with J Wall a very very close second. Wiggins may not be as crucial to or program as those three guys were considering Cal will bring in a top 10 class (and top 3 for the next few seasons imo) every year, but Wiggins, again imho, is a transcendent talent, and i desperately want to see him as a Cat.
Its was only a very short 3 years ago our beloved program (the "other program"...yeah im a football guy) was in total disarray with all of us wondering what the future held as we wondered, some praying, about our next coach and our future. Now looking back, its nothing short of historical what Cal has done huh the basketball program. I have never seen such an immediate impact brought with a coaching change. Dominance is such an understatement.
Sorry, kinda got off topic there. Anyway, i hope like crazy Parker does decide to be a Cat...just dont feel good about it, but with so many players he's "done what cant be done" recruiting wise....in Cal we trust.
Damn...has there EVER been a better time to be a UK fan?
Nate anyone that's said Washington leads for Parker is an idiot. Now they do lead for Aaron Gordon and I think that's who you're thinking of.
Think most believe it's Mich State then Duke for Parker.
Not sure anyone ever said they led, but I expected them to make the cut because of his father's relationship with Lorenzo Romar.
Interesting that DePaul is on the list and Illinois is not.
Think it comes down to UK, Michigan State, Duke, UNC and BYU.
its totally going to be Michigan State, its the only one he did not capitalize in the tweet.
He listed UK first!
I've discounted them because of distance issues for his father. It's one thing for him to go somewhere a bit farther away like Duke, Kansas, or Kentucky where it's conceivable for the family to take a couple of days and drive down but places like UW and Stanford where the family would almost have to fly to see him play just seem like extreme long shots to me. BYU is the exception just because of the family's faith.
Nope, was thinking of Parker. This was said about 8-10 months ago, maybe longer. All I was trying to say is that people think X school is leading and then boom Noel commits to UK. Not saying the same will happen with Parker, but most kids looking to go pro will have an incredibly hard time turning down Cal's offer.
I've said this before. Doesn't much matter who leaders are at this point. Always a game-changer when UK rolls out the red carpet.
Wasn't sure UK was the leader for Noel until the rubber started meeting the road after he re-classified. Same thing with Alex Poythress. Relatively speaking, UK was very late to his recruitment.
When the prettiest girl at the prom asks you to dance, you don't quibble. You say, yes please.
I heard Cal was encouraging Wiggins to re-classify so he can break new ground again - a class with six of the top ten players.
PG: Andrew Harrison
2G: Aaron Harrison
SF: Andrew Wiggins
PF: Jabari Parker
PF: Julius Randle
6M: James Young
The rest of the NCAA would just quit.

Is he a basketball player or a missionary. I just can't believe that in the end he will choose them.
Wiggins should reclassify but I have no idea if he will. We've still got major hurdles to cross with Randle and Parker.
The post was kinda tongue-in-cheek. I don't really expect that class.
I figured as much. Just sayin.
Ha I was going to say...Cal is good but I'm not sure he's that good.
