I second that!
I never follow or care about the refs and if the day comes I do, shame on us. These kids play their game, the game we've seen many many times this year then we shouldn't care about the referee's.
Its no joke that the NCAA is trying to job UK . Jamie Lucky brings down Cal's winning percentage to about 55%. He is terrible.

Lucke already has 2-3 "mystery" type calls. Keep an eye on him. Antigua spent an entire timeout debating with him.
He's Terrible. Again my theroy is if I know your name as an official you suck! I quickly recognized Luckie
Which one is Luckie?

I don't know how to make that a link but copy and paste it in for a look at one the worst in the busiiness
The one who single-handedly changed momentum several times because, after all, the game is about him, not the teams on the floor. His duty is to create drama, not facilitate fair play.
He's one of two things, and I hope it's the former, not the latter: (1) bad at his job; (2) crooked.
Luckie is horrific..I am pretty sure we had him in the Uconn game in the final 4 last year..He just makes stuff up..
Whoever called the last foul on Terrence was not watching the play..the ball spun out and Jones never touched
anyone..That is the kind of crap they have to pay more attn to..There is no way they should have been in the
bonus in the second half before us..They fouled a lot more than we did..
Is he the one that T'd up Jones?
I didn't notice the names, but I had pointed out the official who just happens to be Luckie, and indicated pretty much exactly what you said, Jeff. I told my wife,"When you call two separate technicals, and people aren't fighting, you've got an attitude problem."
It doesn't matter who the refs are anymore and what game they are reffing, it's going to be mediocre at best. Until they clear up all the hand-checking, stepping underneath a player when he jumps, pushing in the back before a player jumps for a rebound, moving screens, two hand in the back on a post-up, etc., games will keep getting uglier and uglier. If refs have to call 40-50 fouls a game to clean it up, so be it.
They were awful!!!!

Is he the one that was under the basket when UK was on defense in the 2nd half? Because that guy was clearly trying to let Iowa St come back. It was obvious.
He would have been at times. Refs are suppose to rotate between their positions every few minutes during dead ball situations.
I guess I should have been more clear. Was he the one i described previously that called a foul on UK every chance he got even when our players were standing completely still with their hands directly over their heads?
Yes Luckie T'd up Jones..he is a moron..Funny thing here...My brother who knows nothing about the game itself was watching with us Sat night, and he was talking about how it looks like the refs have something riding on the game..He knows enough to see that a foul is a foul and some were being called and others were not..The college game is not what it used to be and it's a damn shame..The officiating the last several years has been horrendous..
Jamie Luckie officiated the Kentucky/West Virginia game when Kentucky got knocked out of the tournament two years ago.
He called the UK/Louisville game this season. Everytime I see him walk out on the floor, I am tempted to call in a bet on the other team.
He is a AAAA official.....arrogant, atrocious, acrimonious, awful.
Can coaches or schools request for a particular official to not be assigned to them?
I'm not a conspiracy theorist type person but I can't help but believe that there are people in the NCAA and media who flat out do not want Calipari / Kentucky to win a championship. I believe the officiating is only going to get worse starting with the IU game.
