And you thought the UK football attendance was hurting. This is the attendance after two possessions of N.C. State @ Miami. Really sad and unbelievable, actually.
You would think even with just friends and family it would be more than that. Wow.
Thanks Chris. It really says something about the loyalty of fans, and those that are only fair weather. UK still has one of the best fan bases around, despite the empty seats.
LOL! Kind of what I was thinking Chris. That's a pathetic turnout.
The U!!! The Unwatchable?
The U!!! The Unitard Mafia?
Miami has always been a pro town. The U doesn't have much of a fan following and never did.
And I'd wager that 1/4 or better of that "crowd" were NC State fans who came down for a little mini vacation and football. Helluva ending to the game. How in the world do you let a guy get behind the defense in that situation?
The real question is who are the idiots still sitting in the upper level? Its not like there aren't open seats in row 5 on the 50.....hahaha
I can't help but feel sorry for the canes after seeing that.
Probably like the ushers at UK football and basketball games, they wont let you move down even when there are numerous empty seats.
The ACC is awful when it comes to football support. That Clemson vs. Boston College game was horribly attended too.
Hurricane football attendance has always been spotty at best....and putting the team in a stadium 35 miles from campus and Miami the city proper doesnt help that cause.
Miami, much like Atlanta might be the most fickle sports cities in the U.S., unless youre super super-successful you dont even register on the meter.
Dolphins (who may be the most popular South Florida franchise) dont sell out. and havent sold out their most recent playoff games
Marlins build a new downtown stadium but keep the same dysfunctional management team...and the city yawns.
Panthers play even farther out than Dolphins / Canes and cant draw flies....even though hockey in south florida may not have been the smartest idea no matter where they play.
Heat would be only franchise that sells a majority of their seats, but only since Lebron came to town and if you watch Heat games alot of people who buy em dont necessarily use em.
