Why couldnt Bookie play Qb and keep PT redshirt this yr?
Someone mentioned this in another thread too, but until Cobbins gets his stuff together off the field and starts showing the staff he can be counted on to do what he's supposed to he's not going to see the field at all, let alone at a position as important as QB.
I had the same thought he may have "wasted" to many brain cells to play qb
I guess I will NEVER understand how a young man can be offered a free college education and the slim chance of playing in the NFL if he will just give up any bad habits he has for 4 years, and him blow that chance. Whether it goes up "in smoke" or by alcohol use or through hanging out with "sketchy" characters, or just by "blowing off" classes, there HAS to be a better way to drive the consequences into their heads than what is being done to date. Looks to me like something similar to the "scared straight" programs might work...have former athletes who lost their chances come speak at a seminar and tell how they lost their way and the consequences they've had to face as a result.
You got to do the RIGHT THINGS and when you don't everybody loses.
I agree 100%. +1
