Joker and crew have done a good job at this recent football camp. If you want to make a program better you have to show what you have to offer especially all these kids from Ohio. It is obvious that these kids have been Big 10 brain washed but with the SEC being "the" conference, now is the time to break the mold and get some of them to Lexington. The kids that are set on OSU will go their if offered but keep these kids from going to Miami of Ohio or the Michigan schools and the quality of player will increase IMHO
Good Job Joker.
The meanest dog in Taiwan.
Miami of Ohio...?
The Steelers starting QB played for Miami of Ohio. The truth is some real good Ohio High School football players have gone to MAC Ohio schools.
Think Josh was making a joke because he attends Ohio U and a lot more of those guys end up there than at Miami of Ohio now.
Never thought I'd see the day.... lol.
Good post Hotdice.
I know Joker and want to see winning football period
I want real good football players at UK
Joker has been dealt no hand to work with so if he fails I know who to look for
What do you mean by "no hand to work with"?
I know many of us like to poke fun at the MAC players, but there are currently 110 MAC players on NFL rosters.
I mean compared to the other SEC teams in regard to funding their football program Joker was behind from day one.
I think everyone who follows UK football really wants Joker to make it becase he is a Kentucky man, born and played for UK. That does not mean that everyone was in favor of the CIW especially throwing a young first year coach into the SEC under the funding conditions that is the excuse given by the powers that be when improvements are needed within the program. Joker i not the problem in this regard.
110 is not much considering there are 1,696 guys on active rosters alone. Roughly 6%. Guys that end up in the MAC did not have BCS offers or could not qualify. Those are not guys that UK is losing out on. I am just saying of all the schools you could have chosen, Miami of Ohio was probably not the one. Illinois, Penn State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, etc...
This. There is the occasional NFL caliber player in the MAC, but the secret to moving up in the SEC certainly isn't getting the guys from OH who otherwise have to play in the MAC.
My point is that there are 110 guys that were NFL worthy. I'm not advocating that we have a roster of them, but pointing out the fact that a guy from the MAC can't compete is absurd.
