Can anyone tell me the highest rated recruiting class we've had in the last 20 years or so, and if you can both nationally ans SEC ranking as well
I believe in the mid 30's
I don't always post but when I do, I try to make things interesting
Agreed. I think that Joker's class that had Newton and Moss was in/out of the ESPN top 25 rankings throughout the yr, but then ended up in the mid-30s.
The trick is that:
a) first you have to get the talent
b) then you have to develop the talent
c) then you have to coach/coordinate the talent
d) and finally you have to do it every yr consistently.
I think the highest rated classes belonged to Mumme..but dont hold me to this 100%..I think we ended up with a 28th type class..had a couple in-state kids that were highly rated..this also got us in NCAA hot water. That said..Id say Stoops 1st class will be the best in history. Already in the 40's..with some more 4 stars on the way. Id guess we will wind up in the 27-35 range in rankings, depending on which of the highly touted kids were in on comes. IF..big IF..we get the twins..and the impossible happens and we flip Hatcher..Uk could possibly get a 25th class. Im guessing 29th..just my opinion.
We get: Timmons, Kemp, Woulard, Reed, Samples,Kelsey, Clark..this should boost UK up greatly.
