Here is a link to a panoramic photo of Papa John's Stadium crowd.
Louisville 2013 Spring Game - Photosynth
This photo doesn't show 33K ....they may have gotten 33K, but it wasn't in this photo. Also, pink seats...he he.
Doesn't the stadium hold 45K?
total BS!!! 20k tops, more like 15.
Wrong. I was there. Easily 30k.
Pjcs holds 55k. The expansion added 15k seats. There wasn't a single person in the upper deck. So, you have 40,000 seats. Huge swaths of seats at the top and at the ends are empty. To say there are 30,000 people there is ignoring realtor. Probably 20-25...
Let's just say it was 33k. That is TERRIBLE. Wonder how many there would have been without the $1 beers. Pretty sad that after a Sugar Bowl win and all the hype around this years team you guys couldn't even get 40k.
I think it is believable. The lower bowl holds 40,000 and looks about 75% full. Where is their party deck located at? Also, I thought they were supposed to have $1 beers, but in a pic i saw the beers were $3?
What UK fans who have not actually been to a UL football game may not recognize is the large number of fans who occupy the PNC room, the B&W room and the flight deck. Our party was in our suite and in the 1st quarter we estimated the crowd to be at about 22K. However, at halftime when the Women's and Men's BB teams were introduced both groups watching the game from the two rooms came out and sat in the seats .........there was easily the 33K fans inside and probably another 8K to 10K in the parking lot tailgating.
BTW, the attendance figures came from the CJ and media, not UL.
That just isn't true. The party room
And suite seats are included in the 40k lower bowl Ttemdamce capacity.
25k or so.
Who cares? We took 30k to Sugar Bowl. Tremendous fan support. Yesterday was the largest crowd I've ever seen at a Spring game.
30k to the sugar bowl is terrible for a team who has never been there. If/when we make it we will take 50k and the game will actually sell out.
Tickets to the sugar bowl were going got $10 on stub hub the day before the game. Embarrassing
This...if UK ever makes a BCS type bowl you will see the place invaded by blue. And you don't count the people in the parking lot. They should of walked into the stadium.
Whatever. Congrats for your fictitious turnout . I'm pleased with our turnout yesterday and at the Sugar Bowl, as was Coach Strong.
$1 beer or they are looking at 10,000 tops
No you are wrong .......the Spring Scrimmage did not require tickets or seat assignments. Unless you were there you would have no idea as to how many people remained inside the two large rooms where they could see the scrimmage and still enjoy the party atmosphere. Not sure what picture you looked at, but any picture other than the one taken at halftime would not reveal the number of attendees.
Sounds like a nice excuse to me.
51k coming off a 2 win season read it and weep.
I don't understand why the Dirty Bird Nation has this obsession with BBN web sites. I don't think any member of Cats Pause give a flyin flip how many line beards attended your spring game. Don't go away mad.....just go away!
If so, then why the thread and subsequent posts?
Being a sugar bowl champ, I would think anything but a packed house would be a disappointment but then again if thats all the fans you have, especially with those $1 beers, your night had to suck. But keep making excuses, it becomes ul fans really.
Your crying is getting everyone wet, go home, and take your little crowd spring number with you. lol
Who cares how many were at the game ??? what matttttters the most is that UK had over 50,000 for its game.
Congrats, you won the Spring Game attendance National Championship. Have a t-shirt for that too?
I love the "if" we make a BCS game

They didn't win no Spring Game attendance National Championship. Nebraska had over 60k and Alabama is this weekend.
