UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad has been declared ineligible to participate this season, UCLA announced before its season opener Friday night at Pauley Pavilion.
I have to admit I wanted Shabazz to come to KY but in hindsight its good he didnt or we would have had to gone thru what UCLA has and still is going through. He is a great talent but the headaches we didnt need and can you imagine the national media and the negative publicity that they would put us thru.
I never was a fan of Bazz. When others were begging that he come to UK, I was saying forget him, because we already have Goodwin... and he will be better than Bazz.
It didn't say he's ineligible for the season. I expect he'll be playing pretty soon.

I have to disagree with you about Shabazz and his talent level. He is no doubt an elite talent and he never disappointed in a game I have seen him play. Now Archie is a great talent but if you measure them side by side Shabazz is the better player but that wouldnt have been a problem because then Cal could have groomed Archie as the PG from the very beginning and we could have had Harrow as the backup PG. But like I said in hindsight Im glad it worked out the way it did.

I agree with you 100%. Your scenario would be ideal. What if Bazz becomes eligible at some point this year? I would have liked to have had him even if he just played half the year.
Eligible again. Back on Monday
