OK-just for general discussion (speculation), how does Randle's signing impact potential returnees??
I'm tending to believe that they all come back except for Harrow. I'm still not sure about WCS, but I think he wants to come back. If he sees his draft stock go up it would be hard for him to stick around (and it very well may, because this draft *sucks*)
WCS is the key. He immediately becomes the #1 ranked big man in college bball next season if he returns.
WCS may or may not start next year. Johnson is really good. That is the great thing about next year's team.
IMHO Alex has to think hard about next year.
i honestly think alex is gonna be a 3 year guy...he wont be a top 5 contributor next year but he will be a big part obviously...but i think his junior year with towns and possibly mudiay and lyles adding a junior with poythress talent would be huge and if wiltjer doesnt transfer he would be a senior that year...might not miss a beat between 2013 and 2014 teams
No problem at all if Alex sticks around for 3 years. That would be great. I'd love to have him for 3 years. I'm not sure if that will happen. I can see it. If it does it will be great for him and the program.
It depends on what the guys hear from the scouts but it would be most beneficial to all of them, except Noel, to return for next year and possible 2 more years.
PG Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Jarrod Polson
SG Aaron Harrison, Archie Goodwin,
SF James Young, Alex Poythreus, KW,
PF Julius Randle, Marcus Lee, KW,
C WCS, Dakari Johnson
I think Derek Willis should redshirt.
Polson gives up his 'ship and becomes a walkon
Wiggins starts at SF if he signs with us.
IF Harrow stays around then he is the 3rd string PG next year behind the twins.
Wow-certainly quite a lot of talent on board-and wholeheartly agree @ Willis-this would be a most interesting balancing act-hopefully, there'll be enough shots and minutes to go around...all returnees, especially will perhaps have a fresh perspective what exactly that's going to take...can't hurt to hope-although I'm unsure all these hands will be on deck next year, IMHO-
