John Calipari has six -- count 'em, six -- McDonald's All-Americans lined up to enroll. After a down year in 2012-13, could they bring Kentucky a second title in three years?
These guys will be fun to watch. Enjoy another thrill ride in 2013-14.
Interested in, aside from Kentucky, who you guys think may be some other Final Four contenders. I know a lot depends on who leaves for NBA.

I was hoping Thomas would return to get the buckeyes back to the final four. They are still going to be tough if Ross can step up as a leading scorer type. Duke and louisville( if all their players return) and Florida look to be the best competition. If UK gets wiggins, forget about it. It's number nine and then going for all time margin of victory record. Think the unlv team with the fab five on the bench. That's the talent level. It's going to be it of fun.
Btw, I love the Bucknuts site and your football coverage. You should get on bucknuts 90 more often.
Michigan. You have to realize the Wolverines are very young, with only 1 junior starter..with a good class incoming..if most of the frosh and sophs stay..Michigan could be a dominate team next year..they have been playing the best ball in the Tourney, manhandling both Kansas and Florida. THe Kansas game was close..but Michigan owned the Jayhawks late in that game.If McGary and Stakaukas and the other frosh guard return..I wouldnt hang any banners just yet. JMO..Hope Uk owns it next year. BUt the fact remains..its one and done in the NCAA, and nothing is ever easy in the Final Four. The Fla Gulf Coast squad is also very young IIRC..they had the Gators on the ropes..easy to say its a fluke..but you dont win 3 games by flukes.
Burke and hardaway are done. Robinson very well may leave too. That's why they don't make the list.
I think the big ten has one McDonald's aa total. He is going to Indiana.
You think Burke and Hardaway will both go? If they do..then Michigan will not be nearly so tough. They will be strong inside..McGary and Robinson are a nice tandem..add incoming guards D. Walton and Zak Irvin (indianas Mr BBall) and I think Mich will still factor in. If Burke..only a sophomore..decides to stay..then Michigan will be a force..but hey..thats just my opinion.
Burke just won the Naismith award in a year with a week draft. He is gone for sure. I don't think anyone sees him staying.
Who is Louisville going to have at PG? Ware should be out for about a year.
I don't see Russ Smith's stock ever being higher than it is now. And he's a kid that grew up loving the NBA. He knew nothing about college basketball. I could see him making the jump especially in a weak draft year. Same thing with Dieng. He almost has to go. So they will be left with Behannan, Blackshear and Luke Hancock and Harrell. Thats a solid foundation along with a pretty good class coming in but I'm not sure its Final Four worthy w/no PG.
Duke loses Plumlee, Curry, Dawkins, and Kelly.
I don't see any team out there being able to match what we're gonna have next year all year. Not just by March.
Terry Rozier and Chris Jones are both very talented point guards. Jones is the #1 juco player in the country. As far as post players go even if we lose Dieng there is plenty of depth with Stephan Man Beast, Chane Behanimal, Montrezl Harrell, and Zach Price. We'll also have 2 new guys; 6-9 Akoy Agau and 6-10 Mangok Mathiang. I would love to see another Final Four with the Cats and Cards both in it.
.... It's not safe! Get on the train or get out the way!
Chane is gone as well. Forgot about Jones coming in but Louisville will be losing a lot just like UK did last year. But hey never know the cards may be very good again next year.
Stephan Man Beast(lol) is a SR.
I doubt Chane will be gone. He's not that good. Even in a weak draft he's a 2nd rounder.
Behanan should come back. But I won't be shocked if he leaves. He just seems kind of boneheaded.
No he is a redshirt JR, check the roster.
Where did you get the impression he's boneheaded?? He struggles sometimes with his free throws and also catching the ball and finishing. That's why I'm pretty sure he comes back.
Hasnt the staff had issues with Behanan in the past? Didn't he have a media embargo placed on him earlier in the season? Also wasn't he suspended for a game or 2 early on due to attitude issues?
Also wondering if it's true that Behanan has a kid(that doesn't make him boneheaded but could be motivation to leave).
The first roster I checked did say SR. But you are correct. He's a good player. I'd take Dakari Johnson all day everyday(obviously). There isn't one player on Louisville's roster that I would trade for a UK player next year.
On the new PG's coming in though. What is that argument Louisville fans keep making about the CATS? You never know how a new guy is going to mesh with the team. Who knows if a JUCO kid will fit chemistry wise. LOL. All that mess.
That's what they said, but he was smoking the ganja. Fact.
The inexperience will hurt Louisville but there still going to be treated like this final four team so we can beat them by thirty
Dawkins redshirted so he can come back this year....duke will be pretty good...cook, Thornton, suliamon, Marshall plumlee, Hairston, Jefferson, Murphy, and add in Jabari Parker and Dawkins....duke looks to be pretty good again...if Unc gets wiggins they will be right there...if young stays at Florida they will be really good...Arizona will be pretty good...
See if you can do one for every player on the roster!!!!!!!!
Do people just name names, to say they are good or not.
Half the names i saw aren't even good. LOL, what the heck..
I named a few guys on duke who aren't major contributors but they r good role players and contributed to an elite 8 team this year
Other than what I see as an aberrant (i.e. extremely lucky) title in 2010, Krykrewski has really gone all in on the three point line, which makes his teams quite vulnerable come tournament time. He's a great coach, but I don't think he's quite as good as he was in the 1991-2001 decade. Sure, he could very easily win another title or two, but I don't see it happening easily.
Agreed, Thomas would make OSU a much better contender for next year. People look at his scoring, but with Ravenel leaving as a senior and Thomas leaving for pros, they will be down about 10 rebounds a game -- and those were tough rebs usually for those 2 (anybody can track down the missed shot that bounces). Those guys got tough boards in traffic. Ross may cover most of the lost scoring, but its rebounding and interior defense where they will need help.
I think Florida will be our biggest threat talent wise.
They'll be legitimately 9 deep and loaded in the front court. Young could still declare but I'm not sure that would be wise.
