With the UT job being open and apparently Jimbo Fisher being both unhappy @ FSU (maybe angling for a raise/more support?) and Dave Hart targeting him...what's going to stop him from accepting that job and making a better offer to Coley, Elliot, etc. for his staff at Tennessee.
I want those guys bad just for their recruiting connections. That's what this program needs: Neal Brown, etc I don't really care about. We need talent. That's what college ball is about and nowhere is it more apparent than in the SEC.

Fl St poster on other board said that woed is COley is not accepting UK offer. Said things can still change, but as of today, he is not.
If that's true and it's because he wasn't going to get the OC job because of some insistence on Neal Brown I'm going to be absolutely livid.
Stoops wouldn't have taken the job if that was the case. Ps: I'm betting that info from
The fsu site is more wishful thinking.
Ps: you worry too much. Whether its coming to the conclusion that cal can't coach or that somehow the stoops situation isn't as good as it can get, you just need to sit back and enjoy being a fan. Seriously, I'm not trying to be a jerk but it isn't normal to worry about so much that is 100% out of your control.
Hop I tend to agree. I've learned from this process that half of what you read on here is laced with truth and a smaller percentage is likely to be fact. I've been a fan since the 60's and with the exception of the probation team in the 70's we've never had a solid defense. That said, Randy Sanders' offense put up numbers but they had to out score everyone. I'd love to get Coley's ability to recruit but ultimately I'd like to have the ability to win a game 10-9 if necessary.
For the first time in a number of years I feel comfortable the HC is in place that can evaluate both players and coaches. And apparently Mitch was forthcoming about pay for assistants as well when he said money would not be an issue.
It's a great day. Relax. Enjoy it.
Ignoring your faulty conclusions, I'm not the type of person who sits back and enjoys the ride. I take nothing at face value and I will analyze any and all problems until I reach informed, satisfactory opinions on the issues.
And yes it is troublesome to think that we could lose massive recruiting connections that could elevate this program because like I've repeated over and over again, for UK Football to be truly successful the constants must change (one of them being talent) instead of continually trying to alter variables that have produced the same outcomes, the same results, over time.
It doesn't matter man. 12-21-12 it all ends anyway. Alex Jones told me so.
The Mayans just got tired of counting. But it's funny you mention that because that's the exact problem with folks: Acceptance and confirmation instead of investigation and information.
I see no greater example of that than reading UT message boards during Gruden-Gate. No matter what was said, no matter the evidence to the contrary, great swath's of UT fans were convincing themselves of these grandiose conspiracy theories that Gruden was coming and making huge leaps of logic and rationality to justify their position.
What stops him from making them a better offer to stay FSU? Saw video of Stools earlier talking about getting an offensive coordinator and not just some guy who calls plays. Hell get the right guy. He's been here less than a day. Give the man time to get who he wants. Because that is who will be hired.
After the Cal thing and now this it is obvious you need something to be wrong so you can be pissed about it. lol
Neal Brown is an experienced OC. Coley does not call plays at FSU. Its a tough call. Do you go with the guy thats had a ton of success as a playcaller or a guy that has no experience as a playcaller but can flat out recruit? I guess we'll see what happens and whether he was offered the job and chose not to come or whether Stoops chose Brown instead. No since in getting fired up about it yet. UK fans should be elated at this point with the new hire and the new direction of the football program.
I'd rather have the guy a. that can bring in talent and b. his current fanbase doesn't want to lose.
Neither of those apparently applies to Neal Brown and I'm ignoring the questions about his actual offense which I don't particularly like and don't believe it can win in the SEC consistently.
I'm not a huge fan of what Texas tech does on offense. But remember, Oklahoma plays Texas Tech every year. I'm quite sure that if Mark Stoops is going to consider hiring Neal Brown that Mark will call bob Stoops and ask how good of an offensive coordinator Neal is.
Bob isn't going to encourage his younger brother to hire a guy who he (bob) doesn't think is a really good o-coordinator.
The one scenario we have never seen the "mumme/Franklin" spread system used is with a DEFENSIVE head coach.
I'm betting that Stoops will put his own "spin" on the offense if it's brought in. If not, I'm comfortable with giving it a shot. But again, I'd rather see a bit more of a physical offense as I believe it's been proven over and over that the "mumme/franklin" system has trouble winning close games.
Go with the best recruiter period. Talent wins games
Pretty sure Bill Snyder would disagree.
Ron Zook disagrees
Bobby Petrino Disagrees.
