The best thing for UK and Neal Brown is that he has enough success to become a head coach - somewhere else - and then comes back to UK as an experienced HC. Just as in the case of Joker it would have been better had he gone through the learning process at a place that has greater margin for error. Let's hope that CMS closeness to his brothers helps smooth out some of the bumps that are inevitable with newly minted HC's.

Well said, I agree completely. If any coordinator can make the jump to success at UK Stoops has a great chance because of his brothers and their experiences. I was never completely convinced that Joker really wanted to be the HC at UK when his turn came. He never looked happy or comfortable in the position. While the money is undeniable not everyone enjoys the job description of HC.
Is there any more news on Cristobal? Would be a huge get, but he seems like he wants a HC gig.
Josh/Chris: Any idea when we might be hearing something on these last two staff positions??
We should be hearing something by midweek after the completion of the coaches convention.
They have planned on talking to people at the coaches' convention all along. That happens later this week.

You are probably right but what if Brown blows up? What if after 2-3 years we are tearing it up and he has one of the top offenses in the country? I know Joker called a good offense but these are two different people... I really think Brown has the know how and enough ties to get it done moreso than Joker.
