By end of the year, WCS will be a top 10 pick?
It will be close. I've kind of figured all year he'd end up in the top 15 somewhere if he improves the way most Cal players do in their first year.
He will be highly regarded. still havent seen much of a offensive game. its always about potential though
WE ARE UK
He will be close but I think he will go somewhere between 10-16 b/c he is steadily improving and shows he can run the court and block shots and has a good motor. Some team will take a chance that he will continue to improve and may be a starter sometime soon but definately 1 of the 1st off the bench within a short time. His leaving will give us Dakari Johnson no doubt and an all freshman starting 5 next year. Watch out for the improved version of the Fab Five but this time at UK.
TRUE. This is a weak draft and he's a skilled super athletic nearly 7 footer. If not top 10 definitely lottery. I'm afraid we're gonna lose him. And its gonna be tough because keeping him would make next years team downright scary.
I'm not so sure top 10, in order to be top 10, he needs to improve anymore, I'd say he POSSIBLY could be top 15.. If I'm teams this year though, I'm trading for potential #1 picks for next year, given there's a lottery so you never know, but trade for a bad team's pick, and odds are you'll get a better player next year in the top 10, or in an even better circumstance, win the Wiggins sweepstakes.

The Hornets and Bobcats look to be locks on 2 of the spots that will draw for Wiggins and would like to see AD or MKG either 1 play along side Wiggins if their respective team is lucky enough to get that #1 pick.
The only thing is if he were to come back he could be top 5 easy. Next years draft is going to lack quality big men at the top whereas this years draft is just the opposite you've got Zeller, Noel, Len, and Plumlee. Next year you've really got a bunch of guards and wings. He could easily come back be our starting center on a national championship caliber team and go top 5 in the draft. Tough decision.
WCS has potentially 25 more games to improve his draft stock (18 regular season games). That's plenty of time to work his was into the lottery.
Very true, but I'd rather him go lottery on this year's surprising repeat champions!
Yeah me too. I'd love to see us repeat and everybody have the opportunity to go and get drafted.
I say TRUE.
Between Alex Len, Cody Zeller, and WCS. WCS is becoming clearer that he has the highest ceiling.
both Cody Zeller and Alex len are sophomores. (keep in mind)
WCS is clearly the better defensive player than Zeller, and most likely by end of the year far better than Alex Len. (C.Z. 1.3/1.0 Blocks/Steals) (Alex 2.3/0 Blocks/steals) (WCS 2.1 BPG/.9SPG)
Rebounding also, WCS is better than both in my opinion. Neither are strong rebounders. At this point their average favors them, but looking at long term i see WCS being far better rebounder. Alex Len and Cody Zeller, has only had 3 double double! WCS only has 2 but, again he is far more raw than both. One of the most glaring differences is WCS ability to rebound now versus earlier in the year. First Half: 3.8 rpg Second Half: 7.7 rpg. (Minutes per game are pretty similar between first half and second half)
WCS will be the tallest and longest amongst the group. So, when you look at the potential, to me WCS has the highest potential.
His main thing he needs to show is that he is tough player with energy. His double double has come in last 6 games, while his first 6 games he barely had any chances of actually hitting double double.
Also, maybe Cal is trying to get him more minutes, but his more minutes isn't actually there. His first 6 games, he averaged 20.3 mpg, and his next 6 games he averaged 20.3 mpg. (I didn't add today, since i didn't have the numbers. he did play more, so obviously his average will go up, but not enough to make it that noticeable.)
the point is clear. first 6 games versus his second 6 games is far to drastic of an improvement for this to not continue improving. I expect WCS to start rebounding around 9 rpg average by end of the year. That plus his improvements in offensive end and his ability to defend will make the scouts realize he is the superior player.
In todays game I could see the agressiveness in WCS play both in rebounding and in blocking shots. He was on the floor also on more than just a couple of ocassions and this will become more of a part of who WCS is as a player thus his value to the NBA executives will climb also and he will be another player in the long line of Calipari 1st round draft picks and you might just see an all freshman lineup next year and can anyone remember the last one UK had.
If he had a go to offensive move, he could be the second big taken. Right now you have C. Zeller and N. Noel. I would certainly take him before A. Len and while S. Adams is getting a lot of notariety, I have yet to see him play.
I would entertain taking him before N. Noel only because I think N. Noel is going to have a long road to being offensively usable in the NBA - alla J. Magloire.
A simple question: is your butt jealous of the amount crap coming from your mouth?
Hell, he could be a top 5 pick by the end of the year.
Why would oyu pick Zeller before Len? Len has more upside than Zeller does.
