I am wondering if UCLA is pushing some of these players out.
Josh smith is gone and Tyler Lamb is gone.
Or is it that bad that they want to be out. I think, it's probably bad but these guys leaving might help UCLA.
or freshmen are taking over.
I think it's going to hurt them, and this reflects on Ben Howland. If he does not succeed this season, he's done for sure. Has shown ever since the Westbrook/Love days were done that he's a mediocre coach.

UCLA should have fired Howland after the SI article debacle. I have no idea how he was able to get recruits after that.
UCLA is definately having its problems despite the lofty expectations put out there by the media pundifs. Shabazz, Andersone, Parker were supposed to take Ben to the promise land and still may but I dont think it will be an easy trip. And like what was said if he cant win with this team then he will be toast.
UCLA is a dumpster fire. I bet they finish with a barely better than .500 record this year.
Love what is happening here in La La land. I was giddy after I heard about Smith. Mixed emotions on Bazz... I know he wanted to come to UK but couldn't.
It really is a mess in Westwood. Other than the campus, the weather, LA and the chicks, not sure why any top recruit would want to go there
You just named reasons 3-6 why recruits go to places in the first place...luckily reasons 1. coach and 2. relationships are where Cal dominates.
Not being a top 10 b-ball player I would like to volunteer to be a ball boy, although Im probably 40 years older than the age of the average ball boy. The climate, and chicks would be reason enough for me to be a part of the UCLA program.
THe problem is, sometimes that's the reasons 1-3. They got good food too. Much more variety than Kentucky.
Look at all the UCLA player, they get fatter not stronger. LOL
Californian's idea of "good food" is to put Mexican ingredients (all six of them) on everything.
That actually works out pretty well, IMO.
I agree, nothing wrong with good mexican food or for that matter even Taco Bell is pretty good every now and then.
