1) Who, on the current staff, would you like to see us retain, if anyone?
2) Will the AD be willing to spend big bucks on getting a quality staff in place and not just the head coach?
Id like to keep Washington seems like our wideouts have improved alot
Washington and Summers. Maybe Cassidy.
Definitely Summers. Maybe Washington and Cassity.
I noticed there was a huge difference in what UK pays it's assts in comparison to what other SEC teams pay theres.. IMHO,If MB is really serious about football, we have to be competitive with what we pay these guys as well as the Head Coach.. There's some really coordinators out there that may not be great HC candidates, but, why can''t we go in and offer these guys Top asst salaries and lure them from these other schools.. Seems to me it'd be easier to lure great assts than it is a head coach..
Maybe Summers, Cassity, and Washington. And, in the role of QB coach ONLY, I would say Sanders. Now I don't think he would stay being demoted but he is a great QB coach. His OC skills, well they aren't so great in my opinion.
Summers- I wanted him here for a long time. One of the best in the business
Chuck Smith- our linebackers have been good
I second this one. The O-line has been really strong and at LB Smith has done a lot without much in raw material.
I'd say the same about Cassity. The DBs have mostly been terrible, but when you consider age and injury, we can see the nucleus of a very good unit in the future.
I also hope the new coach will keep our GAs around, especially Andre, unless they have real job offers and we try to keep Jarmon in the program.

Agree with Summers, Cassidy, Wash, Sanders (as QB coach only). But with the names being floated around as HC candidates.....Petrino, Jones, Smart, Fulmer, Tubs, etc, I am confident that they will assemble decent staffs.
Guys like McIntyre, Callagher, Mickey Mouse, etc......I am far less confident.
Rock will stay as strength and condition, as he is BB coach too. Smith due to him being recruiting cordinator. I think it would be beneficial to keep him around to help bring next staff on board with where we stand with current recruits with verbals and those we have been chasing. Summers has done well with O-line. I could see him possibly being invited to stay on.
Coach Turner is a good keep
He is not....our Dline has way underperformed.
Keep Summers and let the rest go. We need a fresh start for the players and fans.
Honestly, I think the football program needs a dedicated S/C coach. I love Rock's personality, and there are a few players he's worked really well with (e.g., Ukwu) but I'm not completely sold on him as a football S/C guy like I was when he came on board.
We constantly have nagging muscle injuries and we don't appear to be particularly strong at the point of attack at times. Rock is a great guy, but the new HC deserves to bring in his guy and have him dedicated to FB.
Not in the vein of holdovers, but the new coach really must demand a dedicated nutritionist and an improved training table for the team. All I ever see from the players is trips to Commons, or Ovids, or Cane's, or whatever. The training table must be improved and a nutritionist hired to do detailed diet plans for each player.
Hope Coach Summers stays. Great Coach, Great Guy! Had the chance to play for him.
