Noel cannot walk and cant even put pressure on it. Im no doctor but that does not look good.
Announcers keep sayin it got hit under the basket I thinks it was on the landing...no doctor either but looks like a torn acl to me
Yeah thats what I thought or a PCL
he hit his knee on the padding...I have had a hard blow to my knee in my playing days and it hurts horribly. Hopefully its just a PCL type of thing, bruise etc. Its hard to walk off on those things and anytime you have a knee injury you dont wanna put weight on it regardless because you dont want to stress it and possibly injure it worse. You dont see guys do that a lot but Im guessing the UK doctors told him not to put pressure on it yet. Smart on their part.
Team has gave up...
Yep and this shows that this Uk is not very good. That would make me want to play harder and get after it but they don't act like they want to be there expect for Polson and WCS
You have to care before you can give up and I'm not sure we did care tonight.
With that said I still love em and will root them on. GBB!
Archie and Ryan kill this team because one is a ball hog who doesn't care for nobody but himself and noway he gets drafted period. Harrow will be a bench warmer next year and god please don't let Nerlens be hurt serious he is the only hope we have to make it to the tourney.
Gator fan here. Just wanted to offer my condolences to your team and fan base, and I hope that however serious Noel's injury is that he has a healthy and speedy recovery. Never want to see a player get injured, and UF fans can definitely relate to you guys on how tough it is to deal with. I'll be praying for him; I wish you all the best on the rest of your season and hope you can somehow pull through if it turns out to be as bad as it looked. Take care.
If Noel does not return, then this season IS over. You can forget about this group of players coming together to make a run at anything. I don't know that I would say they gave up. They just are not that good, period! They have no heart or fight. When things get tough, they simply just wilt under the pressure.
How anyone can say that Goodwin, Poythress, and WCS (maybe) can be taken as lottery picks is beyond me. These people actually get paid for these opinions too. That is mind-boggling! Goodwin is awful, Poythress is a p___y, and WCS is just not basketball smart in the least bit. He couldn't block a guy that was maybe 6' tall tonight who simply went straight up for a shot in front of him. I would love to know what "potential" it is that these so-called scouts see in these three guys. All three of them are extremely weak with the ball. They can't go up against a 170lb guard without getting the ball stripped from them. Then they flail to the floor like someone took a baseball bat and beat the crap out of them. NONE of these guys are worthy the 3 years they will get in a lottery contract. They will contribute nothing and get paid a lot of money to do so. Poythress' self-esteem will do nothing but bottom out when in the League. He gets all pissy and whiny and gets his panties in a wad when Cal gets on him now. Goodwin is kind of the same way. The bigger problem with him is he doesn't listen, AT ALL. Again tonight he is 3 on 1 and gets yet another charge called on him. You all can disagree with me if you want, but there is no way in hell that they should even be considering going pro right now. They will be lottery picks who go straight to the D-League once the season starts. Until these guys can show they are capable of being successful against college talent, they should be concentrating on their educations. Right now, they can make more money with those than they will with their NBA careers.
And no, I'm not apologizing for the rant because I am right.

And this rant has nothing to do with my support of the team and players, as I will continue to go to all of the games including the SEC tourney.
I also realize that these guys just aren't very good. I'm not comparing these guys to last years team or any other for that matter. My whole beef is with the people who think these players are worthy of being lottery picks in next years draft.
The people you have a beef with are NBA GM's - they draft guys who MAY become major stars long before they do. WCS has major height and major speed...you can't change that and it makes the idea of his POTENTIAL (once he gains 50-60 lbs and gets more experience) too much to pass up. Sam Bowie was drafted AHEAD of Michael Jordan because of his POTENTIAL as a highly mobile big (with potentially bad knees). Who could have guessed MJ would be the GOAT, but if Bowie had NOT had leg/knee problems he could have dominated the league for a decade. It's called RISK, and that's what it takes to compete for a championship.
You are so correct. The NBA drafts on what they think a player will be like on the floor in 2 to 4 yrs.
Alex could turn out to be a beast in the NBA and Stein has the basic tools to be very good.
However I do agree with the rant to a point. Archie will not make the NBA, he has no jump shot and he has no team and D in his head. Noel is the only player who would make it on the floor from the start with the NBA.
The thing is this people we have 5 to 6 players coming in right. Who will be asked to leave ???
Maybe they would have a better talent pool to choose from if they would give kids the option of going pro out of high school or making them stay 2-3 years. If our team has 3 (potentially 4) lottery picks on it then it is getting ridiculously outcoached. Again, I'll ask the question. If these guys cant cut it against college players, how do they expect them to play well in The League? Not named Noel, Florida had the 5 best guys on the floor tonight, so why isn't their "potential" higer with scouts? No one on our team outside Noel could start for Florida. That's great potenital.

Thanks for the good wishes and for stopping by. Up vote to you.
We dont know who would start for Fla Billy was in on most of the kids on UK's bench.
Straight out of highschool has proved to be a big no no from the past. 3 yr rule would be the best however 2 yr rule has to happen.
Look at the game of Coll Basketball this yr. No super players to pull for. Scoreing is at a low.
The NBA is at a low now. People dont have time to follow players in school long enough to pull for them in the NBA. Just my OP.
Right now Noel probably is the only one who would start for Florida, but that has little to do with their long term potential.
I think there is a problem with 2 players on this team and they are named Archie and Alex. Dont get me wrong I like both of these guys but they each have a weakness that doesnt lend itself to a winning team. Archie only thinks of himself when he gets the ball in his hands and takes it to the hoop. He doesnt look for his 4 other teammates and lowers his head and bulls his way forward which usually ends up in a charge, a turnover or a bad shot. He has done this in every game this year and still he starts. Then Alex comes out like he has been drained of all energy and strength and is out muscled for the ball on both ends of the court. The last turnover of the 1st half he a Fla. player simply rushed up to him and pulled the ball from his grasp. I said this in another thread and had 2 people come back on me and say he was fouled, no way he was fouled b/c this is a repeated thing that has happened to him during the year. He litterally shows no expression in his face when anything happens and its not b/c he is so calm and collected. Both of these guys have talent but for some reason arent using it the way Cal is trying to get them to use it. Without improvement from these guys this team is in deep trouble especially if Nerlens doesnt come back soon. I am praying for Nerlens not so he can come back to play here Im praying for him so he can realize his dreams of playing at the next level.
