Why would he bring Martin in as his OC at UT? That would be a colossal failure. Dude can recruit and would rally the UT fans but he is a poor WR coach and I can't imagine him being any better as an OC.
Anyone know if there is any truth to the rumors that Petrino wan't even in a motorcycle wreck? I heard it was staged because the girls boyfriend beat the everloving crap out of Petrino. Probably just crazy rumors as usual, but people said that if you look at how Petrino looked and then compared that to how the girl looked that there is no way that they both wrecked on the same bike. Said she looked as if she hardly had a scratch on her. Like I said, probably rumors but I did hear of more skeletons in his closet as well.
Yes they will if they want him. He is not going down the petrino road.
They want him they will have him but not before the game.
You have no idea how wrong you are. There is absolutely no way Tennessee is waiting that long. Belima is coaching in the rose bowl and he jumped ship.
In college football it's viewed as acceptable to leave your current job in between the regular season and a bowl game. It's very common. Look at all the movement in the last 3 days.
I'm not convinced Tennessee has offered Strong. I'd bet $50 that this is Strong's camp leaking info to try and leverage more $$$ from Jurich.
Remember all the "smoke" from cincy about butch jones? It was just that. He was never offered the uk job.

Word is down here from someone I know that has ties to the football program...cant believe i get to say that I have somewhat of a small source lol...that Gundy has been offered and has until today I believe to make a decision. Just what I was told so take it for what its worth. Just thought I would pass along
Mike Gundy is NOT leaving Ok St. Not happening period. The rumors of the riff between he and the AD are greatly exaggerated. I have first hand knowledge of the Gundy situation. OK is his home, its his destination job.
CBS is reporting the same today.
Strong was never offered.
Doesn't look like he has been. Looks like Agents are getting pretty slick these days.
Look for Coach Strong to stay put. Go Cats!
A friend of mine, and large UofL homer, has indicated UT offered Strong somewhere south of $4M a year and UofL is in the process of trying to match it.
Gundy has turned Tennessee down. I'm pretty sure Charlie is staying put.
Butch Jones is their next candidate, maybe????
Is this just a random shot at Tee, or do you have evidence that he can't coach?
The receivers we're terrible under Martin, lacking even the most basic fundamentals in most cases. He admittedly had no idea why they couldn't catch the ball. He may make a good qb coach or OC down the line.
Look at our wr production this year compared to the year before. Look at usc's relative decline this year when they returned everybody.
Sounds like he'll be named new coach at UT tomorrow? Word coming out of a team meeting a few moments ago in Louisville

Report: Charlie Strong headed to Knoxville
14 mins ago
WKRN.com's Joe Biddle reports Tennessee is on its way to pick up Charlie Strong to be the Vols new head football coach.
Biddle's sources said Strong was not at a team meeting Wednesday afternoon in Louisville.
Strong emerged as the Vols top choice this week and Biddle describes negotiations as a "high stakes poker game."
Tennessee offered and Louisville countered only to have the Volunteers come back with an even better package some time earlier Wednesday afternoon.
Athletic Director Dave Hart is reportedly flying to Louisville to meet his new head coach.
Strong led the Cardinals to a 10-2 season and a birth in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
No matter how this situation unfolds, it's bad for Louisville football. If he leaves, this will be the 2nd time in 5 years that a big time football coach has left UofL for "greener pastures." Him getting snippy with the media, and his comments about UofL fans needing to be more like the BBN probably aren't helping his cause. He and his agent have handled this poorly.

"Apparently the University of Kentucky basketball dynasty is to continue forever." - Philadelphia Inquirer, December 23 1954.
I would rather UL keep Strong than possibly get Petrino. He's a good coach but I'm not sure he's worth the 4 million/yr people are talking about. That conference was an absolute dumpster fire the last few years and he had some awful losses along the way.
UT reportedly offered him $3.5 Million a year. Wow.
Another board said he called a meeting with his team for tomorrow morning ..My guess is he is staying..
I hope he stays, I think it would be great for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in general.
I don't know why you'd call a meeting if you're staying. Just make a public announcement right now, and end all speculation.
if that's the case, after not being present for today's meeting, it would suggest he is leaving, and at least wants to get all the players together to tell them personally.
