Eye On College Football - Big Ten head coaches already upset with Meyer

If you ask me, the Big 10 needs to grow a pair. If you wanna be the best, you gotta compete with the best.
Been a Cat fan since August of '92
The Big 10 is dreadful. Meyer will dominate the league before the others figure out what happened.
"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." ~ Emerson
I hate crap like this:
“There are a few things that happened early on that I made people aware of that I didn’t want to see in this league, that I had seen take place in other leagues,” said Bielema on Wednesday. “Other recruiting tactics, other recruiting practices that are illegal.
“I was very up front and was very pointed to the fact, actually reached out to Coach Meyer and shared my thoughts and concerns with him. The situation got rectified.”
It sounds like he isaying that they were doing illegal things but not even gong so far as to say what in an attempt to support the accusation. Put up or shut up, I say.
^ This. The B10 is severly overrated in everything and need to realize that the game of football has passed their antiquated ways by.
Bielama said he didnt want to be like the SEC in any way form or fashion. The talk show hosts said that must include being BCS champion.
It sounds like Urban may finally drag (kicking and screaming) the Big10 into the 21st century. Sad though it may seem, it may have taken the death of Jo Pa to allow this to happen.
They better get used to it, they have Atilla the Hun of recruiting in their midst now. Hard to believe Saban once coached (and recruited) in that conference.
I think Saban was a different coach at Michigan State.
No, Nick Saban was the HC for Sparty before he went to LSU. You're probably thinking about Lou Saban, who seems to have coached everywhere at one time or another.
I know it was Nick. I'm saying his approach while at MSU was different than it was at LSU and 'Bama.
I'm not an Urban fan but he is getting ready to tear the B1G a new one and I'm gonna love watching him do it.
"Kentucky Football needs to be and will be a championship contender in the SEC."~Mitch Barnhart 11/4/12
I think Saban was just cutting his teeth (sharpening his fangs?) while at MSU. In the immortal words of one Robert Montgomery Knight, he (Urban) is going to rape the B1G, they "may as well lay back and enjoy it..."

**LMAO** I need to read a little closer, don't I?
And he won't last long, 5, 6 years at the max. Obvious he is going at this job with the same burning unhealthy intensity he did down at Florida.
Think I saw a stat somewhere that Michigan & Ohio State combined signed 60% of the 4 star recruits the entire BIG conference inked Wednesday? Talk about an unbalanced conference.
Honestly I don't think you can attain top-tier success being any other way. That drive is what pushes these guys to the top.
And Urban doesnt back down...this morning at the Ohio High School coaches clinic:
“You’re pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys (I assume he means his assistant coaches) who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time.”
