It's a tough choice. I'm not sure this bunch can beat Vanderbilt 3 times. I'm going with Arky even though they pasted us at their place just because they seem to stink away from home and I think that we may at least get a little bump from the shame of losing so badly.
Any takers for Vandy?

I take Vandy.
I think, they are just a shitty team. Only reason game 2 was close was because second game after losing Nerlens.
I think after taking on Florida, we should be able to beat them. I also bet we will actually have more people there even so it's in Tenn.

UK is clearly better than Vandy but it's hard to beat a team three times in a season and the first two were fairly close games.
On the other hand, Arkansas is the better team but would also be more of a quality win for UK, which could come in handy.
I want Vandy. Purely emotional. I was with Vandy's team about 10 yrs back as an Athletic Trainer......so I have a soft spot for them. I want Vandy to win every time out......I would be absolutely thrilled if Vandy only had 4 losses in an entire yr........2 regular season losses to UK, 1 loss in the SEC Championship against UK, and 1 loss in the NCAA Championship to UK.
You know, it's interesting that I used to have a bit of a soft spot for Vandy as well, but I've gotten to where I just don't care for them. I'm not sure why that is. I really loved "the Barrys" and Scott Draud back in the day. They were super fun to watch and always played us tight. Stallings is a complete jerk. Maybe that's it.
I've never had a problem with Stallings. He's really a decent guy......I don't know where the negative air about him comes from. The thing that infuriates me the most about Stallings is that they don't get it done come tourney time. They are very well coached throughout the yr, but its like they lose it when it matters most.
Give me Arkansas all day long. I want revenge. I want it for Archie, he deserves to beat those clowns and knock them out of the tournament. The team will be more up for it. Don't be fooled by Arkansas beating us (or anybody they have beaten at home). They're absolutely awful when forced to play by the rules on defense. Terrible team.
I agree, revenge for a poorly officiated game. I though they could have called a foul on arky almost every time down the court. And like you said, I'd love for Archie to get revenge. I want us to be the team that knocks them out of the tournament and crushes any hope they have for a shot at the big dance.
I don't buy the theory it's hard to beat somebody 3 times in a season. The number of times you play them hasn't nothing to do with it. It's hard to beat a team once if you don't play well. We can't let Vandy make a bunch of 3's like they're doing tonight.
Agreed, dont understand the "hard to beat a team 3 times" thing???? Just a cliche sports saying IMO.
Vandy lead down to seven with 3:39 left.
Vanderbilt has been picked clean at halfcourt twice in the last few minutes. Arkansas within 70-66 with 1:34 left.
Vandy just completely falling apart: turnovers, missed free throws, the works. Somehow still have ball, 2-point lead, 29.7 left.
Its sort of superstition thing.
Uh, how bout Arkansas .....

Not really. It is hard to beat any team multiple times. Just look at pro playoff series- sweeps aren't the usual and are relatively uncommon.
Actually sweeps are quite common in the early rounds of every pro playoff series. Happen every single year.

In the NFL as well... the last 17 times a team has had a chance to beat another team 3 times in one season, they have done it 12 of the 17...
and...i was wrong. BIG TIME.
There is usually a reason you beat em the first two times.
Playing Vandy a third time scared the hell at me for two reason and not because of superstitions.
One was the simple fact that Vandy had obviously started to figure it out towards the end of the year and Arkansas has been terrible away from home.
Two is knowing this team, they needed an extra reason to get hyped for this game. They didnt respect Vandy after having beaten then twice. Woulda been much better to play Arkansas who beat us an I think they would have had more fight after the way the crowd treated us down there.
