Good for them. MTSU and Marshall will be great rivalries.
Western Kentucky is leaving the Sun Belt to join Conference USA in 2014, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy.

Very good for them.. will bring more competition. As a WKU student - hell yeah.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
It's about freaking time, and I'm surprised WKU wasn't their 1st choice. Easily the best basketball school in the Sun Belt, and coming up in football, too.
"Apparently the University of Kentucky basketball dynasty is to continue forever." - Philadelphia Inquirer, December 23 1954.
Aren't they already rivals with MTSU?
I don't think we'll be playing WKU in football for a llllllllloooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg time after this upcoming game. The whole Nashville experiment was an epic failure because it is way too far away from all the major UK fanbase population centers. I think if we decide to continue the one neutral site game every other year, the only option is Paul Brown stadium in Cincinatti, which worked out fine since it is much closer to Louisville and Lexington and therefore was at least 75% UK fans. Also, the players loved playing in an NFL stadium.
I wish we would reconfigure the schedule to play Louisville every other year and on the off years play Ohio State in Cincinatti the first game season (split the tickets 50/50 and alternate which team controls the stadium PA and sound effects). That would give us a big boost in recruiting Ohio kids and you know Ohio State would love to do it because they need to work on their SEC win percentage.
Yeah, WKU and MTSU can't stand each other. Lol..
