WW is playing at a very high level. He may be one, if not the, best cover backers in the league. Since he has become the starter, and every down player, he is becoming a force against the run.
He is second in the AFC in tackles, and just one int behind the AFC leader.
One of my all time faves, helluva baller. Good for him.

UK football may suck, but we still produce some great NFL players to be proud of... I love it.
When he first started getting real playin time, other than ST, he was having trouble getting off and fighting through blocks, even though he was primarily a 3rd down coverage backer. He has worked hard and played his way to a every down guy. I believe he would have worked his way to starter even if the other guy wasn't suspended. He has become so much better at shedding blockers, he was and is a tackling machine. He rotates to the mike alot now in 3rd down passing situations, and guess who comes in at the will, Danny T. I hope he has a coaching interest when his NFL career is over, and i truly hope he is back with our program someday.
He gave up the NFL for the PBA?
Woodyard is having a great year. That interception yesterday was beautiful and almost turned it into a pick six. He is always around the ball. It is great to watch the Broncos with three KY players and all doing well.
Is he this guy?
Montage from the comedy Kingpin of Bill Murray playing "Big" Ern McCracken.

Louisville fan here that lives in Denver. Broncos fans absolutely love Woodyard out here and rightfully so...he's been an absolute beast this year.
know he's still a rookie, but how are you guys feeling about Danny T?
People are excited about him too.
I love watching Woodyard play. The same as he was at KY, all out on every play plus being a great leader. He gets too intense at times and commits a personal foul, as he used to do at KY, but always brings it. Anyone remember the Clemson game in the Music City Bowl?
You can't measure heart and that is something that WW, DT, Tamme, and Cobb all have in spades. You knew they were going to be successful.
Both were developed by good ole Chuck Smith too. I think Smith was one of our most underrated coaches. Developed a lot LBers who were at first nobodies.
Been a Cat fan since August of '92
No laughs for Big Ern McCracken? You people should be ashamed!!
Wesley Woodyard is the primary example of why I think NFL scouts suck. Dude leads the SEC in tackles for two seasons, and doesn't even get drafted due to his size. You can't measure heart. The following are some of the players taken than year in the draft over Woodyard:
Cleveland - Beau Bell, LB, UNLV
Giants - Bryan Kehl, LB, BYU
Giants - Jonathon Goff, LB, Vanderbilt
Washingon - Durant Brooks, P, Georgia Tech
New Orleans - Taylor Menhlhaff, K, Wisconsin
Seattle - Brandon Coutu, K, Georgia
St. Louis - David Vobora, LB, Idaho (FREAKING IDAHO!!!)
Philadephia - Joe Mays, LB, North Dakota State
Philadelphia - Andy Studebaker, DE, Wheaton (IL)
Kansas City - Brian Johnston, DE, Gardner-Webb
St. Louis - Chris Chamberlain, LB, Tulsa
What's the overlying theme with all these teams (exception the Giants)? They suck.
