First, we have to root for Pitt today. Second, we have to root for every other team they play against.
Seriously, if they lose today... are they on the bubble? What do you think the possible scenario is, that will make them an NIT team this year? Can they lose two more and still make the NCAA tourney?
Just wondering what the BBN consensus is... on how the Cards season plays out
maybe if they were to lose out and bow out in the first round of the Big East, but very doubtful. Personally, I'd rather see them make it and lose in the first round yet again. Especially if it was to Murray St!
Seriously? They could lose out and will still make the tournament at 21-11.....probably as a 10-12 seed.
No chance they don't make the tourney.
i agree... Louisville is in.
Only teams i hope to see lose is Unc and Duke.

They're gonna make it. And who cares we're gonna hang #8 and they're gonna be beside themselves.
Yea. Even if they lost out, UofL's bubble would still be pretty firm. I see no way they miss the tourney entirely.
That may be the sad truth, but I think it really depends on how the rest of the Big East pans out. For some insane reason, the NCAA board has a hard on for the Big Least and wants ALL of them in the tourney... maybe they will settle for just 10. SMDH
louisville is a tourney no reason they won't make even if they lose out...look at some of the bubble teams out there they stink...and there is no reason we shouldn't want them in the tourney makes the tourney better and its makes our rivalry better...
That would be great. I would laugh so hard.
I would actually enjoy that outcome a lot more myself.
Of course they make it. They are in the "wonderful" Big East. If the committee/ESPN could have their way, all of the Big East teams would get in the NCAA tournament just because that conference is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
Oh for sure, heck the ESPN group would probably say that a Big Least team with 10 losses is at least top 5. :)
How average the Big East is this year is really masking how average this UofL team really is. Keep squeaking by average to bad opponents: DePaul, Pitt, et al.
That's a fact ^^^
You're right, Chris. 9 Big East teams will make the tournament and 6 of them won't make it past the first weekend. That's not going to change until the RPI is done away with.
I know its crazy. They are barely beating teams that might not even make the NIT and get beat by 30 at Providence. WOW. Things will ratchet up in the tourney. I got a good feeling they go down in the first round and I would love for the committee to give them Murray St. in the first round. That would be hilarious.
Nine is a bit high IMO. I'd say closer to 7-8. USF not even close to a lock for the tourney.
I saw an expert the other day say 10 Big East teams. Here are the 10. I think it's laughable.

Wow... are you serious? I was joking when I, sarcastically, said "maybe they will settle for just 10"
For some reason, that really wouldn't surprise me though.
How awesome would it be to see EVERY Big East team get knocked out in the first round? (that's damn near a wet dream for me)
Yeah but I can't remember which one said it. I believe it was a CBS guy.
You better have done some spectacular things OOC to get to the tourney with a less than .500 conference record.
