I can't decide if I'd get more pleasure from the Cards being knocked out early... or from our Cats being the one who knocks them out in the final four. As much as I would love to them lose today, it would be awesome to beat them again... crushing their championship hopes (and seeing the look on Pitino's face as the clock is winding down).
I hope my thinking ahead, is not asking for bad karma.
Although I think we would kill them you just never know in the tourney. Yesterday should remind us all of that. Personally I couldn't take losing to them in the FF. If they have to play Michigan St they're finished.
I'd like to see the Kentucky teams advance as far as possible. It's good for the state. Would love to see UK-UofL talked about on ESPN non-stop the way they do Duke-UNC.

That's what's killing me... I agree with BOTH of you guys! ^^^
On one hand, I hate the thought of losing to them in the final four (even though I doubt we would)... but on the other hand, I agree with Jeff... it would be really good for the state.

I'd rather see Murray there. For a number of reasons!
What is good for Kentucky, and UK Basketball IS Kentucky Basketball, if for UK to be successful, I don't want UL making any more wins at all.
Send them home tonight if at all possible. I am disappointed that they made it out of the first round.
Yeah Pro, I agree. ul fans don't even think they are part of Kentucky so let them fall, the sooner the better.
F them. Go New Mexico.
UL can go to 'L'. I hope they get beat like a rented mule tonight. Sure, it would be fun to hear ESPN talk about our rivalry non-stop for a few days but it's more fun to see UL fans cry about early NCAAT losses.
Too narrow a view, Prof. If you get UK and UofL in a Final Four, great national attention moves away from Tobacco Road and back where it should be.
Plus, Cats would get to pick up another W over the Cards this year.
I almost want to say sure let's meet them since it would be an easier game than some of the other potential teams that could be there. However you should be careful of what you wish for because they could get there and Rick ends up getting the win over UK in the final four. I am going to just sit and watch it all unfold.
UK beating uavel in the FF would make that Louisville paper comic look like prophecy.
Jeff, narrow? It has been my view for many years. I do not see UK needing anything that UL brings to the table for UK to prosper. That is my only interest.
While it would be fun to kill Louisville in the final four I never want them to win. It's in my DNA. I hope they lose every game.
In terms of the matchup? We are a matchup
Nightmare for them. We
Are better than they are at every position.
I am with Hop and Prof here..Hate UL with all of my being..A rival game in the FF?..I want no part of it..My nerves could not take it..I want them to lose every game..
I'm torn on this one. While I think this is one spotlight the Cats should Bogart (and I don't like to see UofL make any FF), if UofL gets to the FF Pitino probably stays around for a little longer. As long as Cal is here, IMO, that just about guarantees a win over the Cards each year. And I think if the Cats had to play the Cards again this year, they would kick their rear end again. Beating them in the FF would make the win that much sweeter.
UK will get all the national attention it needs simply by advancing to the Final Four and winning the title. We don't need UL around. Hopefully Michigan State or Marquette/Florida will send the Cards home.
If UK/UofL played in the Final Four, for better or for worse, the city of Louisville may get burned to the ground
That would be um ... intense.
Yeah screw any success for Louisville. Their fans would be insanely happy about this team getting in the final four regardless of whether we beat them or not. I want them to lose as soon as possible.
And that's fine with most UK fans. I can't count the number of times I've said that i refuse to acknowledge that place as a part of KY. I've called it Louisville Indiana for years. There is no scenario that i would ever want UofHell to ever win in anything.
GO TO HELL LOUISVILLE INDIANA! GO TO HELL!!!!
As far as promoting the rivalry, I do admit that it kills my soul with the "there's the Duke/UNC rivalry and everything else is a distant second" talk that ESPN has peddled for years now. There are several rivalries that garner just as much pure hatred. KU/Mizzou is of the most hate fueled rivalries in all of sports. As far as the "blue blood" factor, UK/UofHell has more combined NCs as Puke/pUghNC and easily as much hatred. But if it would mean Loserville has to start winning to dethrone the "king" of rivalries then forget it. Let them (duke/UNC) have it. Id rather keep having espn cram it down my throat.
Again, GO TO HELL LOUISVILLE!!!
I also agree that UK doesnt need this rivalry to be elevated nationally. It would help the Tards much more than us and i don't want any part of anything that helps helps this bastards.
I agree with many of the others. I hate little brother and hope they never win another game. I don't want them to even sniff the Final Four; it gives them more credibility than they deserve.
You can take the man out of Kentucky, but can't take Kentucky out of the man. GO BIG BLUE!!!
I'm with the Professor on this one. Just sorry UofL made the tourney at all. For them to get to the final four, even if we killed them, would be a disaster.
Stop holding back Tommy... tell us how you REALLY feel.
I think I would have to be put on suicide watch if we have to play one of our most hated rivals in the FF and IF we lost to them...just saying!!! Lol
