Mark Stoops and his incredible recruiting staff have surpassed the high expectations they brought to Lexington with them already..IMO. 2 4* commits and were only getting started. I fully expect Ryan Timmons and Jason Hatcher to sign come Feb 6th. James Hearns as well. I also think there is at least 1 or perhaps 2 highly rated kids to be silent Uk commits. Just my gut feeling..but I think Stoops has some grand designs on NSD that equals UK football advertising on ESPN in front of millions.
JoJo Kemp should fit Neal Browns offense nicely..and I really think hes 4* material..no matter where he goes. WR was a big need area..with Blue and Montgomery already on board..and all signs pointing to Timmons to follow suit..it became less of a need today. Still, with that in mind, I would not rule out a Badet or Samples giving thier pledge to Stoops.
Losing Keith Kelsey stung a bit..but not as much as its gonna sting him when we drill the Cards..(and..as for that UK hat..UL commit thing..i would like to call a couple offensive plays when hes in at lb..heavy dose of 325lb pulling guards comin at ya buddy!) However..as long as Hearns qualifies..and we get a James Clark..I think we should be pretty happy at LB.
I look for us to get at least 1 more OL. DT is a need area as well..wanted Jarran Reed..hope we still get him.
Safe to say this staff can recruit with the big boys. 2014 will be even better.
Kelsey to me is not a huge loss. And I don't think James Clark is really in the plans. These are the main guys IMO still left in the plans.
Samples(would not count him out just yet)
Outside of those guys I'm not really sure if we'll take anybody. Could be that we come up short of signing a full 25.
If we get Hatcher, Timmons, Kemp, Hearns and one more WR I'd be just fine if we called it quits.
Maybe a surprise name or two pops up on the board.

Like it tWhit..agree across the board. I mean..your never going to get everyone..or be 100% satisfied..but thats part of what makes football recruiting so special..
The one area that weeeeeee need to address is at LB. If we can get 2 good LB's this yr it will help alot next yr.
I do look for UK to get 26 or so commits this yr. Some may not make the grades and so on.
We definitely could take Corey Smith!!
18. (WR) Jeff Badet (FL) 3* (5.5)
19. (WR) Ryan Timmons (KY) 3* (5.7)
20. (WR) Ra'Shaad Samples (TX) 4* (5.8)
21. (RB) JoJo Kemp (FL) 3* (5.7)
22. (DE) Corey Smith (GA) 3* (5.7)
23. (DE) Jason Hatcher (KY) 4* (5.8)
24. (LB) James Hearns (FL) 4* (5.8)

18. Badet WR
19. Kemp RB
20. Timmons WR
21. Hearns LB
22. Hatcher/Smith DE
24. Haynes OL?
25. Maka DT?
Get the feeling there will be a surprise come signing day that the staff is keeping under wraps. Maybe I'm just hoping for one, even if it's an under the radar guy.
Staff would obviously take both Hatcher and Smith but just playing the odds and saying UK goes 1 for 2 there.
I'm guessing we are missing out on flipping big targets like Samples, Reed and Igwebuike but you win some and lose some especially going up against the trio of programs those guys are currently committed to and were offered by.
Maka and Haynes are both guys that come only if the staff feels they are worthy. With only 13 seniors next season, it wouldn't be a bad thing to be a couple under 85 for the staff to have more spots open for the '14 class when they have a whole season to recruit. But, if the staff goes after them hard, and accepts their commit, then I will be glad to have them.
Alabama is now after Reed, I don't hold out much hope for him at this point.
If we get Hatcher I could care less where Corey Smith ends up. If we get him too great. If not big deal WE GOT HATCHER!!!
