D. Lamb's Tweet

  • This was tweeted on Lamb's page and he then re-tweeted it. (lol i am brand new to twitter and I do not know what it all means yet):

Is this a possible indication that he may come back? If this has already been posted then please Mods take this down. But I did not see this scrolling through the site just now. I think it is a real possiblity that Lamb comes back (maybe wishful thinking?)pray

  • Na. He was just RTing a cool picture. The guy made one for each our players in the 7 man rotation.

  • There are some rumors floating around today that one of the players might be considering coming back, but I would be surprised if that happened. Surprise would be labelled "shocked" if it were Lamb.

  • I don't think any players are coming back but if one did I think it would be Teague. Only because he would be a lottery pick next year, but he will go in the first round this year and that will probably be enough for him. Either way it was my favorite Cat team of all time. All they worried about was winning not who was scoring.

  • I think Teague will go a lot closer to the lottery this season then most of us expect.

His stock has exploded over the last month.

He played his role nearly perfectly down the stretch.

That, plus the fact that there just aren't many PGs out there. Someone will snag him on potential and have a dandy in 2-3 years.

  • Who is it that is rumored to be thinking about returning?

  • From what I have heard on the message boards (which really isn't a great source) is that it is either Lamb or Teague. But we won't know anything for sure until April 29th.

    BigBlueMook

  • The pg draft next year is awful at pg. teague
Would likely be the #1 pg
    Chosen next year.

A lineup of Teague, harrow, goodwin poythress/wiltjer and Noel would be awesome.

    hoptownukfan

  • Lamb would fit much better than Teague. Neither Teague or Harrow have shown they can shoot the ball from the perimeter.

Really? Check teague's: stats for the second half of the season and get back to me.

It's starting to seem that Lamb is the only potential candidate if someone is going to come back. I've read some posters who have earned some cred over the years on various message boards say Teague is out no matter what unless he changes his mind between now and the 29th. Doesn't care about lottery or projections for next year he's gone. Is that true, who knows. I did see that Chad Ford has moved Lamb to the back of the first round which could easily turn to second round on draft night. Could be the case that he needs another year of college and an increased role at pg or playmaker to showcase more pg skills for the NBA types to move up the draft because he's undersized at the 2. I'm going to operate under the assumption everyone is gone, but as far as the guessing game Lamb has now replaced Teague in my mind as the only potential player to return.

  • Ive not heard any of my peeps mention anything about anyone staying....they are ALL leaving just accept that guys and be plesently surprised should someone actually change their minds from now till then.

I have heard a couple of things tho (one very intersting tidbit) regarding Lamb and AD.

1.) Lamb wants to go more than anyone. He hates school, loves playing with this group of guys very much so, but hates school, and has had his mind made up about leaving since day one if this season. Id be shocked should he return.

2.) The VERY interesting tidbit. Now before i drop this, take it with a grain of salt. I have some great friends inside thr football program...not so much for basketball. Im only sharing what ive been told. Anyway, AD is more than concerned about his possible destination in the upcoming draft. Ive been told he has no desire to play for the Charolette Bobcats whatsoever. Again, im only sharing what ive been told. I will say however, the guy who told me this has been on the money about several things over the years, does that mean hes right about this...i have no clue, im only sharing.

So basically you are guaranteeing that AD is coming back. . . . lol,

  • Lamb and Teague aren't comparable offensive players. Teague did improve but he also benefited from opponents deciding not to guard him and double down inside with his man.

Just stating that he DOES NOT want to play for the Bobcats. And really, who could blame him. Outside of MJ there is no good reason to want to EVER

Earlier today, someone said that the NBA folks were saying he would be the 3rd PG taken, and that he wouldn't be a lottery pick.

Ford had him as the 3rd PG taken until Wroten Jr declared, new he's 4th. However I must say, Ford has had a history of being was off before

  • Imo, if Lamb goes this year he will have to find a situation like Jodie Meeks found. Great shooter and scorer but too small to start at the 2 unless perfect fit for a team. Lamb could get more mins for more teams if he were to come back, get more mins at the point when Harrow is out. Lamb is good enough to go this year but just in my opinion he would have more doors open for him to expand his game more at the point.

    UKCAT17

  • Was told by someone connected to the team there will be a press conference this week (they said Tuesday, but that kind of stuff can always change because of schedules) where all 5 guys will jointly announce they are headed to the NBA.
