If its knee to knee, it would have been bad.
However, it was knee to thigh, i don't think it could have been that bad.
He might have landed awkwardly, but i think he will be fine.

Idon't know about the thud or the knee banging. It loked to me more like a very slight hyper-extention when he landed on that one leg. A very minor hyper -extension, but if he did that he would have some swelling tomorrow, or later. Swelling would be the biggest enemy here I believe. Keep the knee from swelling and he will be fine.

Agreed. With the quality of trainers and medical expertise we have available, I expect that (roughly) a week will be plenty of time to take care of any swelling.

I saw it in slow motion 100 times like I'm sure we all did. I didn't see that knee hit anything. It got hurt when he landed.

Correct. Knee didn't hit a thing. Just twisted on the way down, which is what made it scary.

The collective silence in the GaDome seemed unreal, even watching it on TV. Can't imagine what it was like in the arena.

Yeah it was like a moment of silence only in a moment of silence there are always jerks that don't observe it. This was even more quiet. I know I was pooping myself. That looked bad for a few minutes. Real bad.

I could never tell definitively what happened based on the replay. I just went with what Anthony said happened and what he said he felt.

Yeah I don't understand why he said that. I mean it was clearly obvious that knee didn't hit anything. That's why I was confused with him saying that. Maybe he was trying to downplay it because he knew banging a knee wasn't as serious as coming down on it wrong. If that's the case he shouldn't do that. I respect the heart but he should always be honest with the training staff about that stuff.

He definitely hit the thigh of perry jones and then landed weird on it.
But It wasn't knee to knee. If it was, he wouldn't be back, I don't think.

I've watched it a few times. It looks like his left knee hits PJIII on the upper thigh/hip area. Clearly Davis hit him with something as PJIII was injured as well.
The important thing is that Davis is okay. By the end of the game he was moving fine.

Here is something to give some thought. If Anthony is 22-23 years old with 25-30 more muscle pounds in the upper body, does that weight alone make that tweak something more serious ? Good weight is still just weight when you land wrong like that. Being 18 or 19 years old and still a little on the light side probably saved him a possible injury.
