It's fine as long as he'll run his routes correctly, catch most of the passes thrown to him, and actually block downfield for another WR who catches a pass for more yardage.
I am caustiously optimistic about some of the new WR's because of what those of you who have seen them play say they can do to help us. I am not, however, much enamored with any of the WR's we have on the team from the last couple of previous seasons because few of them have done their jobs or lived up to expectations. Some of those guys need to go, as they've let the fan base down, have failed to compete, and just generally been a bunch of posers & pretenders while wasting the coaching staff's time with them.
Am I being harsh? Yes, I am, because they deserve it. It has just been one failure after another with this current crop of WR's. They are supposed to be SEC WR's, but so far they have not acted like SEC WR's.
If mid-level SEC programs like South Carolina & Arkansas can get WR's that will catch passes, then why can't ours do the same for us? -
