The House of Blue

Admittedly, I do like guys that play with emotion and flare. But at the same time, it's almost better when a guy like Nerlens Noel completely dominates a game and doesn't say a word.

I can't decide who this kid reminds me of as far as his game is concerned. I see a little bit of Pat Sparks, Chris Lofton and Jayson Williams.

Whenever I look at Marshall Henderson, I think "probable cause".

Wow, it doesn't happen near as often as I would like, but my wish pretty much came true. The game went down almost exactly like Nate87 & I hoped it would ... minus letting our 17 point 2nd half lead evaporate down to 1 with 4:22 left to play, but we put the smack down on them from there with a 14-2 run and closed out the game in style. All's well that ends well.

Marshall "Slim Shiddy" Henderson was outstanding ...... NOT!!! That was my first time seeing him play a whole game, and I'm sorry but he's one of the biggest "What's all the hype about" players of all-time. He started out sort of hot with 18 points in the first 22 minutes, but he was pretty much playing for UK in the last 18 minutes ........

When the game was on the line he was nowhere to be found, except for a couple of drives down the lane to help add another Nerlens Noel block to the stat line.

Oh yeah, he did get 2 points (2 for 3 - Free Throws) in the last 2 minutes when the game was decided.

Overall in 34 minutes Henderson had .......

I think just about any guard on our roster could get those numbers in 34 minutes. Marshall Henderson's season stats aren't really any better than Archie Goodwin's .........

I'm left wondering what all the hype is about? Aside from his ridiculous immature playground behavior, all I see is a guy who shoots too much.

But, he does have one All-American level skill. He flops, falls down, and fakes contact like a soccer player who's down 1 - 0 in a World Cup Final and in desperate need of a penalty kick. Yes, Henderson definitely knows how to draw the yellow cards - I mean fouls. He also hit his free throws (9 of 12), which is something we must improve dramatically during February if we want to do any damage in the post season.

I haven't met Mr. Henderson, but I am completely certain (from personal experience) that he is likely a saint next to Matt Walsh. Walsh is most definitely a Summer's Eve product.
